Chapter 5

Scorpius's point of view

The boys had stayed up late at night, talking about stuff and ended up forgetting the time. Still, Scorpius woke up early the next morning while Albus was still asleep. Scorpius looked at him and smiled. He was so adorable that he didn't want to wake him, so he carefully ran his hand through his hair and kissed his forehead before he got up.

When he entered the kitchen he found James and Lily sitting by the table having their breakfast. Their parents were both at work.

"Good morning," said James. "How did you sleep?"

"Where's Albus?" asked Lily, but before Scorpius could open his mouth, James answered.

"Let me guess, he's still in bed?"

"Right answer," said Scorpius and took a seat.

"Typical him. But the best part is when you wake him," said James and laugh along with Lily. "So what have you tried?"

"Nothing. I let him sleep."

"Come here," said James and went upstairs.

Both Scorpius and Lily followed him. Lily kept laughing as if she knew what was going on while Scorpius looked at them in confusion.

"Wait here," James whispered as they reached the door.

He crept inside and put his finger on his lips to keep them quiet. As he reached the bed he pointed his wand at Albus and whispered:

"Aguamenti."

Albus's point of view

Albus looked through his window, in the middle of the night. He came up with a brilliant idea.

"Come on, Scorpius. We're going somewhere!" said Albus as he grabbed his hand to lead him outside. They went inside the garage and found his dad's motor bike. He put his hand on it. "Care for a ride? My dad inherited it when his godfather died. Well... they let Hagrid have it first until... The best part is that it's able to fly. So what do you say?" 

"Okay," said Scorpius in surprise.

Albus's took his seat as Scorpius sat down behind him.

"Hold on to me now," said Albus.

Scorpius did as he was told by wrapping his arms around him and held him tight, before they flew up in the air. Albus had never felt this happy in his entire life. For some reason he felt like singing.

"A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view, no one to tell us no, or where to go, or say we're only dreaming-" 

His singing was interrupted by a hippogriff splashing water in his face.

The next second he found himself wet in his bed. It was only a dream. He found his brother laughing in front of him. Albus did everything he could to control his temper.

"Just wait two years and I'll have my revenge!" he said.

"Now take it easy, little brother. Just trying to inspire your boyfriend."

"Scorpius, don't you dare!"

"You know, Scorpius, the best way to do this without using magic is to prepare an ice bucket the night before. And make sure it stays cold," James suggested.

"I think I'll pass," said Scorpius. "It was still funny though."

"You sick moron," Albus muttered at James and pulled the cover over his head.

"Come on, Lily. Let's give the boys some privacy," said James as he and Lily left the room.

"Welcome to my world," Albus muttered with his face pressed against the pillow.

Scorpius laughed and sat down the edge of the bed.

"I have to admit, your brother is hilarious."

Albus looked at him.

"Not only did he wake me. He ruined a wonderful dream that I had. Now if you don't mind I'm going back to sleep so the dream will continue," he said and turned his back on Scorpius.

Scorpius kept laughing and laid down beside him wrapping his arm around him.

"What was it about?" he asked softly.

"Us. We flew. Escaping reality. And I sang a song I can't remember where I've heard it."

"Maybe we can recreate that dream? For real."

"Either that or I'm happy with this," said Albus and turned to look at Scorpius. "Now with you here."

There was a silence.

"Hey Albus?" said Scorpius hoping that he had not gone back to sleep.

"Mhm?"

"Dad and I spoke the other day. We talked about visiting mum next week, and I was wondering..." he started to tear up. "Could you come with us?"

"Of course I can," said Albus and wiped the tears with his thumb.

"Maybe it's time to get up," said Scorpius and sat up.

"You okay then?"

"I'm fine. No worries." Albus could see how he tried his best to stop crying, so he gave him a hug to calm him down. "You're still wet," said scorpius and they both laughed.
