Chapter 41

Albus's point of view

Albus slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on the cold floor. He couldn't feel anything after being tortured for hours. He sat up and looked around. He was still in the pub, alone in a room. It scared him not knowing where Delphi was. What if she thought he died and went out for Scorpius?

But it didn't last long before she entered the room. He could tell that the torturing cost a lot of her strength. Her eyes made her look like she hadn't got any sleep for a week. Her skinny legs were shaking for every step she took and the blue tips of her hair were gone. Her hair wasn't silver anymore. It was all gray. She grabbed a chair and took a seat.

"How are you feeling?" she said.

"I haven't given up if that's what you're trying to ask." He tried to get up on his feet but the pain in his legs stopped him. Delphi pulled out Albus's wand from her pocket and rolled it over to him.

"You see what the power caused me," she said. "It's not too late yet. You can still do it." Albus shook his head.

"No way!" he snapped. Delphi looked at him viciously.

"Then you'll have to die." Was this some kind of joke? Why would she kill her only hope?

"I thought you didn't have enough strength to kill," Albus pointed out.

"Not for the killing curse. But there are several ways to do it. It will be painful."

After all the pain she caused him he could take anything. Then he thought about the nightmare he had, where she slit Scorpius's throat. Was that what she was going to do now?

"Are you going to take over my body then?" was all he could say.

"It only works after the killing curse," Delphi explained and leaned closer to look him dead in the eyes. "And with you gone there's no way you can save Scorpius."

Albus was ready to die. All the pain he felt would be over. But when she mentioned Scorpius...

"Delphi, I beg you," he said ready to tear up. "It doesn't matter what you do to me, just stay away from Scorpius!"

With no response Delphi grabbed his arm and apparated. 

He landed on the ground. If it wasn't for the pain he already felt, this would hurt. He looked around and recognized the place. They were in the forbidden forrest. He finally succeeded to stand.

"You know why we're here?" said Delphi. "This is where Voldemort killed your father."

"He didn't kill him," Albus corrected. "He destroyed a part of his own soul. My dad came back to life."

"You have knowledge I see. My father failed to kill your dad. Now I won't fail killing his son-"

"Expelliarmus!" Albus interrupted. Delphi backed off so it wouldn't hit her.

"Nice try," she teased. "Worse than last time I see. Crucio!" Albus fell on the ground in pain, worse than he had ever felt. "Crucio, Crucio, Crucio!" she kept repeating while he screamed.

Again, Albus couldn't feel his body. Could the cruciatus curse possibly kill him? Because that's how he felt. Although his sight was a blur he could see that Delphi had fallen on her knees. Like she was dying. He tried to speak but no words came out.

"Keep going," he finally said. It couldn't get any worse. Until Delphi raised her wand again.

"Sectumsempra," she mumbled.

This was the end, he felt. He felt tree invisible knives slitting his chest, blood streaming everywhere. He was just about to pass out and was unable to make a sound. He could still see Delphi though. Her wand was pointing at him once again. She mumbled some words he couldn't hear, but then heard someone screaming from a distance.

"Albus no!" he heard. 

It sounded a bit like Scorpius. But then a flash of a green light distracted him before it all went black.

THE END!!! Haha just kidding. There's five more chapters left (I think) but I don't think I'll be updating anytime around christmas since I won't have time.
