Amanda's POV

I woke up to the sound of the TV downstairs, talking about important politics of the world. I groaned and buried my face into the pillow. Out of anywhere I could be, I just had to be at school today. I've had plenty bad memories from school, I don't think more would help me with my social anxiety.

After spending 5 minutes more in bed, I finally decided to get up and get my first day over and done with. I decided to let my hair down today and I layered my lashes with 2 coats of mascara and swiping a touch of lip gloss over my lips, I was ready to go.

It felt like a walk all the way to Mexico while walking down the stairs, because I knew who'd be there living with us from now on.

"Morning sweetheart." Mum gently pressed her lips on my forehead and handed me a plate of pancakes with maple syrup on top. I sniffed the air and my lord, it smells amazing.

"Thanks Mum." I poked the pancake with my fork and was about to cut a bit and shove the deliciousness inside my mouth when Dan came from behind mum in his apron that said 'Kiss The Cook' on it. I grimaced.

"You like the pancakes? I woke up extra early today so you'd have a good breakfast to boost up your energy for the day!" Dan spoke his words with such excitement and happiness, and I felt like a sad little loser sitting here.

"You know what, Mum? I'm not hungry. Have a nice day." I stubbornly said and opened the front door.

"Amanda Brookes!" I heard Mum's voice and how the tone was angry. I didn't dare turn back. Not eating my soon-to-be step Dad's breakfast is the least of my worries.

"So Amanda, meet Ashton, he will be your tour guide for this semester. Ashton is an A-grade student with excellent sport skills. I am certain you will both get along well. Now, run along, I'm busy." Our principal wore bright red lipstick and always has pursed lips, she didn't seem to notice me that much.

"Amanda, huh?" Ashton smiled softly, looking sideways at me, "What's your last name?"

"Brookes." I answered shortly. I didn't really want to talk to this stranger I'd met only 2 minutes ago. Yes, I know. Blame it on my anticocial skills.

Although Ashton had a lovely smile that showed two little dimples, and he had beautiful brown hair and nice eyes, I was taught to never trust anybody.

"Wanna cookie?" Ashton hands over a chocolate chip cookie that looked so good, I was gulping.

Well, I changed my mind. Never trust anyone, UNLESS they share their cookie with you.

Luke's POV

"Aye, Luke man! What's up?"

"Luke! Hey!"

"Sup Hemmings."

"Dude how are you?"

The questions that the students of this school asked were bombarding me. Big time.

I didn't have time to answer them, like I usually would, because I just saw an extremely familiar girl with pretty blue eyes walk off with Ashton Irwin. Aka, the brain of the school. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not jealous or anything. I'm just...not used to seeing Amanda with someone else.

Hell, I didn't even know she attended this school. She must be one of the new students that we were supposed to get this semester.

My thoughts were soon interrupted by the ringing bell above my head, meaning that class is starting. I didn't have time to gather up my thoughts as my friends rushed me to my classroom.

------

"Lukey! Hey boy, I missed you!" A perky blonde girl named Elise, or Eliza, I think, approached me and embraced me in a hug. It's funny because I didn't even know who half these people are. I just slept with them, and left them. I didn't want them running back to me like bees attracted to honey. And yes, I've been doing it to get her out of my mind, and I've gotten quite experienced over the couple years that she had been hiding from me.

"Uh hey," I chuckled awkardly and untangled her skinny twig like arms away from me. I sat down on a table next to the canteen and watched as people walked past.

My eyes then landed on a particular pair of people. The guy had his arms around the girl and she was backed up against a wall, shaking.

Zayn Malik and Amanda?

What. The. Fuck.

Amanda's POV

As soon as Ashton left me alone in the cafeteria I felt my anxiety begin to rise. Where is Ashton anyways? Why's he taking so long?

I stood awkwardly and tried to move out of people's way as they pushed through me. I didn't have any friends here, and that meant no tables were available for me to sit on. Suddenly, a pair of hands grabbed me by the wrist tightly. I froze in fright and my mind went to the night where something like this occured.

"Shh, don't stress honey. I'm Zayn, and I like newbies." A deep but dangerous voice rang in my ear. I still froze, not knowing what to do. Zayn had me backed against a wall, and I was shivering from how close he was. I wasn't enjoying this. Not one little bit. His breathe reeked of cigarrettes and alcohol, I despised that kind of stuff.

"P-Please don't hurt me." I slowly found my voice.

"No worries darling, do you seriously think I'd do you right here in front of the whole school on this wall?" His hands wondered down my breasts and under my shirt, on my belly button. I felt my knees shake in fear. "Although that could happen, because you're quite damn irresistable," Zayn pushed his hands further down and I wanted to scream but somehow my voice got lost again with him touching me, making me feel so vulnerable and pathetic, "I'll fuck you hard against the wall, but not now, maybe la-" Zayn didn't get to finish his sentence. My pupils dilated as I stared at what had just happened.

Zayn was lying on the floor holding his jaw in pain, and I stared at a raging, red faced boy throwing one last punch at the guy who was planning to take my innocence.

"L-Luke?" I muttered in disbelief.
