Amanda's POV
What is Luke Hemmings doing on his knees in front of me.
It reminded me of that night when he betrayed me. Luke was still kneeling in front of me, but when I glared at him, I'm certain that he remembered that night too. That was probably why he stood up so quickly and coughed awkwardly.
"Erm. Sorry." I heard his feet shuffling around the floor and I felt his eyes on me again.
There were too much questions running through my head, but the one that kept bugging me was, why was Luke here? In my apartment?
"Well uh, this is my apartment too. I rented this place, I'm guessing you did too..?" He answered me shakily.
Did I just ask him that question out loud? I must've.
That's such a coincidence. I felt an urge to leave and find another place to live, but I'd already informed Mum (and got an extra long lecture from her before she agreed) and there was no better place than this.
Luke just has to ruin everything.
"Yes I did. Now, excuse me while I unpack my things." I replied coldly and turned my back to him, going into the room on my right.
"Wait, wait. What're you doing Amanda?" Luke grabbed me by the waist and I felt his cool breath on my neck, making me shiver. I missed this feeling of having him so close to me.
"I'm going into my room. What does it look like?" I shook him away from me and tried to open the door to the room, but it wouldn't budge.
Luke chuckled deeply. "Manda, that's my room." He took a key out of his back pocket and twisted it around on his fingers. I felt myself blush as he opened the door with his key.
"Well, where's my room then?" I asked, feeling embarrassed and dumb.
Luke pointed to a room across from his. "That's yours I guess." He looked at me with a concerned face. "Do you need help with all that luggage?"
Pfft. I didn't need his help. "Mind your own business." I told him as I struggled to drag the suitcases into my room. I counted to three in my head then lifted it up, grunting. When I finally picked it up and into my room, it fell and collapsed on my feet, making me trip over and landing on top of my lugagge. I groaned. Maybe getting help from Luke was what I really needed.
I heared his laugh echo across the walls of the building as he walked inside his own room, minding his own business like I told him to.
-----
Getting up for school was a drag the next morning as I had to wake up and make breakfast myself. I tried to make myself look as presentable as possible with some skinny jeans and a sweater. I almost forgot I was living in the same building as Luke as I walked out my door, but I went back in so I could touch up on my hair, knowing that Luke would see me.
Since when did I care about what he thinks anyways?
Since always. A voice in head replied to me.
I shook my head and erased the conversation I had with myself, preparing to see Luke when I walk out of my room. But instead, I saw a curly and rainbow headed guy walking out of Luke's room. Would that be his roomate?
"Amanda?" The guy spoke and his voice was familiar.
I suddenly realised who it was as he got closer.
"Michael? Michael! Oh my God it is you !" I got really excited as we both ran towards each other and embraced one another with a hug. "I almost didn't recognise you then, with your curly rainbow hair. You look like a Harry Styles that ate a rainbow." I giggled as I looked up at my friend, whom I hadn't spoken to in years after
the Luke incident.
"Yeah, so I've been told.." Michael muttered under his breath.
"Should I ask?" I smirked at him.
"No."
