Amanda's POV

"So who's your partner for the project?" Taylah asked me as we stroll along the hallways of our school.

"Oh, um. Luke." I answered shyly. After last night's incident, and the 'Sorry' text I sent Luke, I wasn't sure if I forgave him for the things he'd done yet, but I think I'm pretty close to it.

Taylah's jaw dropped open. "Damn girl, how do you even know such a fine piece of human being? I mean, Luke is pretty popular with the girls here."

I simply shrugged and pretended to be distracted by someone throwing a football in front of the lockers. Taylah stopped me with her hand and looked at me suspiciously, "There's something you're not telling me, Manda. I can tell." My brain stopped working for a second and I didn't know what to say back. "Oh well, erm.." I wanted to tell Taylah, because she's my friend. But my heart says I should wait.

And then the bell for class rang.

"Gotta go, Taylah. See you after class!" I said with fake enthusiasm and ran off to class, glad that I was saved by the bell.

Yes, so my heart is always right.

Luke's POV

I stared as Amanda walked in the room. I think every guy in our class did, because she was just so stunning. Even the bisexual girl who always sat in the back row stared. Amanda's just that attractive. I watched as she licked her lower lip, a nervous habit she always had, I bet none of those boys (oh and girl) knew that.

{Author's Note: Gettin' a little jealous there, Lukey boy?}

We were all told to sit next to our partners, and I looked at Amanda, while patting the seat next to me, motioning for her to come over. She bit her lip, and finally made her way over, but not saying anything to me as she sat down. She seemed anxious about all the stares.

"So we're required to write a biography about each other, and it's due in a few weeks." I said while looking down at my assignment sheet. Amanda nodded. "So we'll have to get to know each other more..." She licked her lips again. Holy hell, that turns me on. "Yeah, but we know loads of things about each other, don't we?" I asked her with a smirk on my face.

"I've changed, Luke. Nothing's really that interesting about me anymore." Her voice was tiny and delicate.

How has she changed? She was still the same perfect Manda to me.

"Well, we'll just have to get to know each other better don't we? You haven't changed at all, still hot as usual." I winked seductively at her, hoping she'd take it as a joke.

She did. And she laughed.

"So, you laughed at my comment. Does that mean we're okay again? Can we be friends..?" I risked it all, and asked her, hoping my face looked as serious as I felt.

"I've learnt from mistakes in the past, and there are some things I'm willing to let go of, and forgive, but there are other things which I will never forget. I forgive you, Luke. But I will never forget." She took a deep breath and considered my idea,

"Okay." She finally said.

"Okay?" I smiled and let go of the breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Yeah, okay." She smiled back at me shyly.

"Meet me at my room after school, we can work on this shit together." I grinned, feeling like all the weight's been lifted off my shoulders.

"Language, Lucas."

I chuckled, still the same old Amanda, I thought.

And for a moment, it felt like we continued on like how we started, many many years ago.
