Amanda's POV
He's coming over. No. No. No.
This is exactly like how we first met years ago. Its beginning to feel like déjà vu.
I bury my face from his sight and pray that he would get that I didn't want him around me anymore.
"Amanda?" A deep and soft voice spoke to me. It was definitely Luke, even after all these years, his ever so sexy voice hasn't changed one bit.
I don't reply to him.
"Um, Manda? H-Hello?" He sounded uncertain and nervous. He even stuttered, and that's something Luke Hemmings don't do often. I felt angry all of a sudden, and my heart was aching for him as I spoke as cold as I could.
"You don't get to call me that anymore, Luke."
Luke's POV
My mouth went dry as soon as those words left her full, pink lips.
You don't get to call me that anymore, Luke.
Anymore.
Like how I used to call her all sorts of names everyday.
Mandy, Manda, MandiBoo, Brookes, A, babe, baby... I could go on forever. But right now, I'm staring at the beautiful girl in front of me.
Honestly, I've never heard silence quite this loud.
"Sorry." I murmured.
"Luke," Amanda sighed, "What are you doing?" She asked me in a vulnerable voice and it was filled with such innocence and disappointment.
I had disappointed her.
"Nothing. I mean, you've been avoiding me for years, it's normal to suddenly find you and stalk you, right?" I flashed her a cheesy smile.
She shook her head and ignored me. Clearly she wasn't into my jokes.
"Amanda. Come on. Please, you've been gone for years now. What i did what complete shit and I was a dick, I regret everything that night. Just- C-Can we at least be friends?" I finally breathed out and waited anxiously for her reply.
"No." Amanda closed her ocean blue eyes and inhaled then exhaled deeply, "You cannot just suddenly bump into me in a cafe and then think that I'm going to forgive you after everything that you did. No Luke, it doesn't work like that. It was never meant to work in the first place. Don't you know why I've been hiding out there for all these years? It's so I never see you again. God, I just...please just leave." A tear glistened at the corner of her eye and she let it fall down her red cheeks.
This was a mistake. I should've never walked up to her. I could've pretended that I never saw her sitting in that stupid chair looking as hot as hell.
"But why'd you come back?" I hesitantly asked.
"That's for me to know, and you to never find out." She replied icily, then grabbed her purse and left me alone standing there. I probably won't ever see her ever now.
And just like that, I let her leave again.
Stupid, stupid Luke.
