Luke's POV

I didn't mean anything that I said to Amanda, I didn't know what came over me, I wasn't usually the cocky type. I opened my mouth to apologized, but she ran out of the house before I could say anything. I  told Belinda to get out as well.

It was one of these nights I felt like getting drunk, so I called up Louis, one of my many friends.

"Hey, man. What's up?" Louis answered his phone almost immediately, like he was expecting a call.

"Got a party on tonight?" I crossed my fingers and hoped that he said yes.

"Hell yeah! When do I not have a party on?" He said loudly into the phone, "You in?"

I nodded but then realized he couldn't see me, "Yep. See ya at 9." I hung up and went to find Michael, who was probably in the kitchen, to find a wingman to tag along.

Amanda's POV

"Hey babe!" Taylah's chirpy voice greeted me as I rode my bike over to her house, she lived alone, and I was insanely jealous of that.

"Hello, nice house, by the way." I looked around at the beautiful color-coordinated furniture, why did she have to be so perfect? Honestly, it wasn't fair.

"Thanks," She led me to the living room and sat down beside me, "So what's the goss?"

I laughed a short little laugh and looked at her, in a are you serious expression.

She frowned as if to say what.

"What's the goss? Taylah, you've beem MIA for two days, I haven't heard from you at all. And you promised me the deets on Mr Horan, remember?" I scoffed, feeling offended that she didn't tell me what she had promised. I was her best friend, afterall.

"Oh Mandy, you can call him Niall now. We're almost dating!" She proudly boasted.

I slapped her on the arm.

"Ow! What the hell, M?" She caressed her arm and looked up at me, giving me a look.

"Taylah! Why the heck would you do that? You knew better, there are plenty hot as guys in our school. Why Mr Hor- I mean, Niall?" I was truly upset.

"Well, no one is as good looking as him, and he is the sweetest guy ever. We kissed. On the lips!" Her eyes were starry and she was off daydreaming about him again. "I can't believe I actually talked to him! Let alone kiss him! Oh my god, Manda, it felt so good and soft and he-"

I planned on giving her a full on lecture later.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" I groaned and covered my ears, "Do not ever kiss and tell."

She gave me a smirk and got up, "You know what you need? You need to loosen up and party."

As soon as I heard the word party I froze up. Parties never ended well for me.

"No."

"Please Manda, Louis has the most awesome parties ever! We can't miss this!"

"No."

"Maaaaaandyyyyyy!"

"No."

"But-"

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

Yep."

"Nope."

"No."

"Yes."

"Oh dammit." I cursed under my breath and Taylah shimmied a dance of victory,

"Taylah, I don't have any party clothes and-" I tried to sat back down as Taylah grabbed my hands and tried to take up upstairs to prepare.

"That doesn't matter! I have two closets full of clothes, now up you get, don't make me carry you!" She was a;ready halfway up the stairs, I groaned in irritation and followed her unwillingly.

---

Taylah straightened my hair out of its loose curls and she did my makeup, with minimal foundation, winged eyeliner, mascara, and red lips. She also chose a black curve hugging short dress for me, which I forcefully declined, but she had her ways of making me give in. I found some old converses of hers that I liked so I decided to wear that, but Taylah insisted that it wasn't sexy enough so she found some gold strap on heels for me.

The beauty herself, wore a torquoise tube top that revealed a slight cleavage and a silver mini tube skirt that looked like glitter had thrown up all over it and with that she paired some black heels that were insanely high. Her hair was up and curled, with loose bits coming out on the sides, she still looked stunning with whatever she did to herself.

We arrived at the party 20 minutes later in a taxi and walking in was the most terrifying thing I'd ever done in 3 years and I was glad my best friend was there with me.

Okay, I take that back.

Within 2 minutes, Taylah had managed to get herself drunk and dancing on the dancefloor with some random blonde hottie.

The dance floor wasn't really my thing so I sipped some of my drink and sat down, not really having the best time ever.

A few minutes more of sitting alone, someone tapped me on the shoulder, and I knew it was a guy without even turning around, because I saw his shoes.

"Hey Manda." He said with a smile, as a slow ballad-like song came on, "May I have this dance?"

It was my tour guide Ashton, dressed in sophisticated clothes with hair that looked as luscious as his lips looked, and don't get me started on those eyes. They were absolute gems.

I was about to say no, and that dancing wasn't my thing, when I noticed a blonde guy with blue eyes like the sky leaning against the table, sipping his beer and staring me down. I kind of expected him to be here tonight, since this was his crowd, but I didn't think his eyes would be on me since our last argument. I smirked to myself, this was my time to make Luke feel what I had felt.

I leaned myself towards Ashton and stuck my chest out, whispering in his ear,

"I'd love to Ash." I took his hand and purposely looked at Luke, who was glaring at me with a tomato coloured face.
