Luke's POV

I ran my fingers through my hair one last time, and checked my teeth, while I was waiting for Amanda's arrival. This had me so nervous, and it felt like a first date.

"Hello? Luke?" Amanda's voice echoed through the room and I ran to open the door, but Michael bet me to it.

"Hey Manda! How you doin?" Michael enveloped her in a hug, and I instantly felt jealous. After a brief moment, they pulled apart, but it felt like forever to me.

"Hi," I smiled at Manda, who was wearing tracksuit pants and a jumper. "Welcome to my crib."

She laughed and stood in front of the door awkwardly, not knowing what to do. She didn't give me a hug like she gave Michael, she just stood there. I figured, why not make the move?

I walked up to her and held her in a tight embrace, it felt so nice to have her in my arms again, and she smelt like flowers. Extremely pretty ones. I felt her stiffen under my touch, but a few seconds later, she relaxed a bit and patted me awkwardly on the back, not fully wrapping her arms around me like I was doing to her.

-------

"Favourite colour?" I asked her.

"You know the answer to that." Amanda smirked.

"Yeah, but I just wanted to make sure, you did say you changed." I said as I quickly wrote down 'purple' on my notebook.

I looked up just in time to see her facial expression change from a smirk to nervous.

"Um, so what made you come back to this town?" I ran my fingers through my hair for the 50th time and asked.

She looked uncertain, and she didn't look willing to answer. So I decided to change the subject.

"I'm the champion at Fifa." I boasted.

Amanda's eyes suddenly lit up as she got on her feet,

"Yeah right, I can beat you just like that." And she snapped her fingers, as if proving her point.

I walked closer to her, until I could feel her breathing getting faster.

"Oh yeah?" I whispered to her.

"Y-yeah." She replied, not breaking our gaze.

I leaned in a few centimeters more, and she didn't move back.

There was love shining in her eyes. I took that opportunity and moved forward, but my lips only brushed hers as Michael came barging into the room.

"IT'S A CHOCOLATE MILK PARTY, IT'S A CHOCOLATE MILK PART- Whoa, shit. Wow, sorry guys." He blushed and quickly ran out of the room, leaving a flustered Amanda and a Luke that's-gonna-kill-Michael-later behind.
