"Hello? Taylah? Answer me!" I screamed into the phone, after I heard a g u n shot and a sudden sound of someone falling from the other line.

(Author's Note: Sorry guys, for having to type g u n this way. It's just that Wattpad won't let me publish this publicly if I had the actual word in it, because it's rated R, and for mature audiences..? idk, blame it on Wattpad, so, sorry) 

"Taylah? Are you okay?" I was crying while shaking the phone, hoping Taylah would say something, and Elysia looked concerned, with tears in her eyes.

"Fuckin' bitch." I heard some guy's voice muttering on the phone, and I'm guessing it was Niall. And Elysia heard it too, her eyes widened and Niall hung up. 

"Shit," Elysia covered her face with her hands, "He shot her, oh my God."

I scrunched my fists up, and the tears kept pouring out. My best friend. She's dead.

She's fucking dead.

"She's gone, Leesh." I whispered to her, holding her hand, "I-I can't believe this."

Elysia hushed me and handed me a glass of water, "Shh, Mandy, maybe she's still alive, we just need to call the p o l i c e (Author's Note: Same problem as before, sorry guys.) immediately. They'll be able to track her down."

How was she so calm?

I nodded, "I need Luke, please." 

Elysia pulled out her phone and called Luke, and all 3 of us drove down the the p o l i c e station together.

The p o l i c e drove us to the place, where they'd tracked Niall's phone down, to find Taylah.

I was sitting in the backseat in between Luke and Elysia, still sobbing.

"Babe, she'll be fine, we'll be okay," Luke reassured me about how she's fine, but his eyes said different things.

Elysia was silent for the whole trip, I guess she's traumatized at her ex boyfriend's actions.

"Here we are," The p o l i c e woman with black hair who drove us here said, "Be careful." 

We all nodded and stumbled out of the car,

"Quick guys, she might be still alive," Elysia said loudly, and it was the first time she'd spoken for the entire trip.

The p o l i c e were all split up in groups of 2, and there were 6 of them. 

They seemed to know what they were doing, and we stood back.

"I really hope she's okay," I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and said to Elysia and Luke, "She was the bestest friend I've ever had, and now she's gone. Everything and everyone that I love always seems to be gone."

"Hey, now," Luke frowned and kissed my forehead, "She'll be missed very much, she'll be giving you her blessing everyday from above," Tears rose up Luke's blue eyes as he hastily wiped them away, "I remember the first day I actually spoke to her, I called her Tyra," He let out a little laugh, "Who would've thought she'd-" 

"Okay, okay. No need for her funeral speech now, have some faith, you guys, she could be still-" Elysia started to think positively, but I stopped her.

"ALIVE! OH MY GOD she's alive!" I jumped up and ran towards the stretch bed Taylah was in, and the emergency team were carrying it to the van.

"Her eyes are barely open, but she's alive!" I screeched and pulled Luke and Elysia in for a hug. They moved awkwardly around me, but they were smiling.

"Don't celebrate yet," A cold and familiar voice spoke up from behind us.

Niall.

I looked around, and the emrgency team were too busy checking up on Taylah a block down, just when we needed them.

"What do you want." Elysia found her voice, and glared at him. It didn't sound like a question, but rather a demand.

"Nothin' from you, sweetheart." Niall slurred, and made his way over, pulling out his g u n.

No. No.

"Do you remember me, darling?" He looked pointedly at me, and I shivered. I felt Luke stiffen and he held my waist tighter against him.

Niall pulled on his black mask, and suddenly the memories came flowing back. He was the mystery person, who'd hurt me and touched me.

"Y-You.." I had so much hatred for him, and to think that he once teached me Chemistry.

"I didn't get to taste you fully, because we were interrupted," He spoke loudly, laughing at nothing.

Luke growled, literally growled, at him, "Put the g u n, down, Niall."

"That's Mr Horan to you, Lucas." Niall sniggered then took a few steps forward, and we took steps back.

"I aint gon' bite ya," He clicked a bullet in, aiming it towards me.

I froze in shock, tears wouldn't fall out from my eyes even though I was crying inside.

"Payback's a bitch, sweetie."

He fired the g u n.

It happened all at once.

The p o l i c e pulled their g u n s out and shot Niall, and he fell down gone, but Niall had already fired his bullet at me.

Why the hell was I still standing here? Why wasn't I dead?

I looked down, 

and there was Luke, crumpled on the concrete floor, lying in a pool of his own blood.

"NO!" Emotions were flying everywhere as I stared at Luke, who had his precious eyes closed.

"Baby," I said quietly, sobbing loudly, holding his hand and hoping my Luke would come back for me.

"You're so stupid, baby," I wiped at my eyes and kept kissing his lips, but he never moved.

"Why would you do this to me," I cried louder and louder and I felt Elysia next to me, she was shaking her head, crying.

"I love you so much, don't leave me, please," My tears fell on Luke's pale face, if I had a wish, I'd wish I was dead.

I watched helplessly as the emergency team carried him off in their vans again.

"No! Don't take him away from me, no!" I yelled and my arms were reaching for Luke, and Elysia held me in a hug.

Our shoulders heaving up and down together in sadness.

Luke had jumped in front of me at the time, and saved me from the bullet.

He loved me too much. This was all my fault.

He had sacraficed his life for me. 

Why couldn't I be the one who got a bullet to the chest?

It would certainly be less painful than watching the love of my life, laying lifeless before my eyes.
