Amanda's POV

What does it mean when your heart beats endlessly for someone you don't want to have, and your breathing quickens and your chest tightens whenever you're near them?

That was my feelings towards Luke.

After that awkward night when Luke came to study with me, and we almost kissed before Michael barged in, Luke and I were keeping our distance and our greetings minimal. I wasn't sure if I liked that or not. I mean, I thought we were friends again... and I thought he had wanted us to be, but no one ever knows what's going on in that head of his.

Even though I forgave Luke for the things he did, I would never be able to forget Elysia. Not in a billion years.

"So what are your plans for the weekend?" I quickly ate the last bite I my sandwich and turned to look at Taylah, and she was completely zoned out at staring at someone across the cafeteria.

"Hello? Taylah?" I asked again, snapping my fingers in front of her eyes, making her jump.

"Huh? Yeah, I like dogs too." She turned away from what she was looking at and focused on me.

I grinned, "Taylah, I asked you what were your plans for the weekend. Not whether you like dogs."

She blushed and pulls a fluff off her sweater. "Sorry, I wasn't listening." Then her eyes returned back to its usual place, the table with the teachers on it, and she kept her gaze there. I curiously looked at her eyes and looked in the direction that she was staring at, and then it suddenly clicked.

"Oh Taylah." I sighed.

I got a slight whimper in reply.

"Please don't tell me you have a thing for our new teacher." I raised my eyebrows and stared her down, as her cheeks turned rosy pink.

"Well, anyone who is human and has girly hormones would think that he's attractive. I mean, how sexy can you get?" Taylah had her hands flying everywhere, explaining how hot Mr Horan was. I didn't think hands flying equals Mr Horan's hotness.

Although, I have to admit, he was quite attractive. Like the intelligent and model-like type, with bleached blonde hair. But Luke is much hotter in my opinion.

Oops, I probably weren't supposed to think about that.

Taylah was now biting her lips and flicking her brown hair around, trying to get Mr Horan's attention. It wasn't working, judging by the way he had his back turned to her and was speaking to Mr Matthews, our Humanities teacher. After a while, she finally sighed a breath of frustration and gave up.

"Did you know his name is Niall?" Taylah rambled on to me, "How freaking hot is that! And he's IRISH. Totally my type."

I laughed at her exclamations, and said, "Taylah, your type is bad boys with badder personalities." Then I quickly added, "if badder is a word, that is."

"It is if you want it to be." Was Taylah's short reply, "besides, I'm totally over bad boys now. They're so last year." And with that, she go up and not-so-casually walked past Mr Horan's table, strutting every step as she did so.

Mr Horan may be still young, but he sure knew how to mess with Taylah's brain. I've never seen her so whipped,

I just hope she doesn't end up like one of those girls who become sex buddies with their teacher.

But if Taylah heard that, she'd probably say something along the lines of, "He's pretty fuckable."

Little did I know what Taylah was hiding from me.
