"Hayes!" I screamed.

"What's up?" he asked.

"I need to tell you something. Important." I mumbled.

"Whats wrong?" he pondered.

"I figured I would tell you before you found out the hard way." I replied slowly, trying to keep my tears back.

"Well what's wrong," he said hugging you, "you can tell me anything. Nothing is gonna ruin our friendship."

"I...uh..." I couldn't even speak.

"Just spit it out!" he laughed.

"Hayes, this isn't something to laugh out." I mumbled.

He just stared back at me.

''I c-cut.'' I whispered showing him my scars.

''Oh, Allie.'' he started, tears running down his face already.

''I'm s-sorry.'' I murmured into his shoulder.

''Why?'' he questioned.

''Because I didn't think anyone would care. People at school don't care.'' I said shrugging.

''But I care,'' Hayes pulled back, ''I love you.''

''Really?''

''Yeah.''

''I love you to Hayes.''

"Now, ice cream?" he smiled.

"Ice cream." I confirmed.

We ran to the car and turned on the radio. She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 started playing.

Tap on my window knock on my door

I want to make you feel beautiful

I don't mind spending every day

Out on your corner in the pouring rain, oh.

Look for the girl with the broken smile
