The Bahamas- three days later
"Bloody typical" Louise mumbled to herself as she pulled the suitcase along behind her and swore quietly.
No John.
"All poppy cock- I'll be waiting for ya with Champagne and chocolate he says, see you at the gate he says, with bells on he says... I'll give him bells"
She felt much better in herself ever since 9 o'clock actually and with the little pills Doctor Nate had presented her she was somewhat controlling the nausea.
Nate was engaged, no back up plan now missy. Lou laughed softly, poor John would be ever so relieved, every single time John had seen Nate he had a grumble, how she loved his grumbles. It meant she meant something to him, didn't it.
The week had crawled by but the one saving grace was John's phone calls. Without fail every night he yabbered away about this and that. How George and Ringo looked in stranger's ears and took photographs of their feet all the time.
How Paul was getting smashed drinking her favourite drinks and that she could 'run rings' around McOnePotScreamer with the cocktails.
John would then sing softly down the crackly line to lull Evie to sleep and afterwards, after they told each other about their day, he would talk dirty to her to give her something to sleep on.
Where the blazers is he, it's a bit hot, although my body has been misbehaving of late. Maybe it's me and not the heat...
A few local taxi drivers tried to get Lou to go with them, bartering and haggling while she had stood semi aware of their business dealings going on all around her. The plane load of tourists that flew in with Louise all seemed to skitter aboard buses or pre-organised colourful mini mokes which must go straight to resorts in various locales about the island.
A little blue MG convertible streaked out of nowhere and pulled up directly in front of Lou with a skid of brakes and upset of dust.
The dust settled and Lou wafted the stuff from in front of her face.
