Rin's Pov:

I lay in the cave that they had put me in. My stomach was churning in unnatural ways. They told me that there would be better conditions if I wasn't quarantined. There had been another in here with me... she died this morning of total organ failure.

I heard the door open and close and felt the air pressure shift. I whimpered in pain as I finally relieved my stomach. Food, blood, and some black and purple substance came out making me feel temporarily relieved.

"I'm so sorry Rin..." Mïka said as he sat next to me. He clicked his bracelet and pulled it off.

"What do you want?" I growled as I again tore at my bracelet. I was dying, hospitality was the last thing on my mind right now. He sighed and grabbed my Kūbatsîz bracelet and checked some writing on the inside. He pulled up the passcode and typed in several buttons and I felt it click and release.

"Next time you put it on it will allow you to put your own password in." He mumbled as he stood up and started to walk away.

"Wait! Why are you in here?" I yelled at him. I pulled myself up and away from him.

"I'm a carrier I'm being held in another room until those who I infected are no longer responding to sÿgdom." He replied turning back around to take a seat against the cave wall.

"So, until I die!" I snapped. He hesitated at my sharp retort before nodding.

"I'm sorry," Mïka spoke meekly. His response took me by surprise.

"How long have we been here?" I asked deciding to change the subject. I awaited the response with my eyes out of fear for what he would say.

"About 73 hours why does it matter?" He grumbled throwing a rock at the wall.

"I can't remember anymore..." I said twisting the bracelet in my hands. I shook my head. My stomach twisted in a dozen new knots. My ex-parents had told me I would be dead within the next week. I had denied it then but now I wasn't so sure.
