Savannahs Pov:

I was disturbed from my book when my mother called me at 5 am. I stretched as I answered. My mom and I chatted a little and she told me the setting I had used to waterproof the car was working awesome without any issues what so ever.

She ended the phone call about a half hour later when her radar picked up an island that started interfering with our conversation. I ended up reading a little bit more of my book.

"The Fault In Our Stars! That sounds like  a great book!" Kate's voice rung clearly throughout the vessel, and I looked up in surprise. Typically the average person in this era doesn't know much about books, so the fact that Katelyn knew was confusing.

Where she had been sleeping a minute ago was now a mess and she was standing over me like a vulture to its lifeless prey. I hadn't been fully using my extreme sight to give her privacy but now I regretted my decision because I started falling off of my mattress. I caught my self using my flight as Kate climbed off of my bed.

I glared at Katelyn who shrugged innocently and I created a hardcover version of the book out of thin air and threw it at her as hard as I could. She caught it but it still hit her in the stomach a little hard; she stuck her tongue out at me while I started autopilot back up for the day.

We sat and read our books for half an hour and Katelyn was a way faster reader then my brothers. I was finishing the part where she gave him the cigarette butts in full on tears when Kate all of a sudden said aw.

I looked up to see that she was well through the book. I looked through her eyes to the page where by far the cutest point of the book happened. If only she knew I thought as I read further on.

I got to the last page when I secretly slipped inside the book. I did it in the end so that no one would notice but I healed her lung cancer while she was sleeping and I left once again. I did it at the end of the book so that it wouldn't make a difference to the storyline, but so that she could have a chance in her fictional world.

Entering story, games, and movies was an exhilarating experience that no one in my family could do. It was another several minutes when I suddenly heard Kate sobbing and she looked at me with puffy red eyes.

"Why is the world so cruel?" She asked telepathically while I watched the world outside.

"Because it can be!" I replied a slight shiver passing through my body.

"Is there no justice in this world?" She asked throwing a hand up in the air.

I sighed and rolled my eyes as she mumbled silently to herself. Kate started pacing around the room as I put the books on my mattress; suddenly a red light flashed on the dashboard and I ran to the radar table and activated it.

I was shocked to see that we were already approaching land. The autopilot told me that we had another 2000 kilometres to go before we made it to Europe and beyond. At our current speed, we would hit land in approximately 2 hours. This was not our top speed but I knew that we had to slow down.

I sat in my driver's seat imagining dad sitting here I swivelled the chair closer to the driver's console just like he used to. I turned the autopilot and slowed our speed to 100 kilometres an hour, but by this point, we were already down to 1762 kilometres.

We now had just under 18 hours to reach land, but we needed to slow it down more. It took over an hour for me to find a comfortable speed that wouldn't cause a commotion. If I wanted this vehicle could go up to 2000 kilometres an hour or more.
