the sand tickles between my toes. the wind kisses my cheeks and the water in front of me is swirling like a storm.
I'm safe here. I'll stay right on the shore. I'll stare as the storm continues, treading carefully, I step forward.
I'm afraid of the water, but it looks like it needs help. It's suffering. I know each time I step into the water I drown, I swirl, I fall, I die.
I rip my lips into a grin and keep them there, to remind myself to be brave. the water is getting closer to me this time... it's asking for help.
I take a step into the damp sand. the water touches my toe gently... then it pulls me with huge force and drags me.
I grasp the sand only to pull out chucks and chucks of the muddy, moist sand.
I can't lose... no... I smile. I smile and smile even wider. the water's cold and shoots pins and needles from my feet up to my spine.
it drags me and pulls with one final roar and force. I drown.
I drown into the calming waters now.
the sea tricked me like most captains are tricked with their ship.
I should've stayed on the beach where it was safe, but I tip toed too far.
now I drown and fall deeper into the dangerous sea. no one will ever see.
