Jc's POV
I awoke the next afternoon with a feeling of guilt in the pit of my stomach. In a way I felt as if I had cheated, ruined every memory of Skylar I held on to. But deep down I knew I couldn't wait for something that might never come. I had stayed up talking to Lia for most of the night so I wasn't surprised that when I looked at the clock it read 2:34 pm. Stretching to reach my phone without escaping the covers. I was left with one message from Lia after I fell asleep, I felt a smile form across my face as I opened it. Something about her was extraordinary, I wanted to pick her brain for hours and hear everything she had to say about life. Her views and words were so carefully spoken, everything about her was exciting. In a way I was jealous that my own stories weren't as exciting as hers were.
"Jc!" Ricky yelled barging through my bedroom door, "What are you doing today?"
"I don't know man," I said being brought back to reality.
"Wanna hit the beach with the guys and Jenn and Andrea, their bringing some people too? Should be a blast." Ricky said checking his phone.
"When are ya'll heading out?" I sat up rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
"Here in about an hour, the guys are all carpooling and the girls are meeting us there."
"Ok I'll be there," I said as I felt my phone vibrate through the springs of the mattress.
"Sweet, we started a no vlogging rule so don't break it" Ricky said heading out the door, turning back to say "Not like you upload anything on your channel regularly anyways!"
"Hey maybe today was the day!" I laughed though I knew it was true. I was always so busy and wanted to spend every moment I could with Skylar that I had been neglecting my home channel. I picked up my phone scrolling quickly to read the message from Lia.
Beach party this afternoon, you better be there!
I jumped up immediately knowing that Lia was going to attend I had dress to impress. I ran through a quick shower and picked out my most impressive board shorts. I threw a tee shirt in my backpack along with a few other things when I was interrupted by Kian screaming through the house that he called shot gun.
