Jc's POV
It had been two days since I last saw Lia, yet my mind was still overwhelmed with thoughts of her. It wasn't until I had realized that she was Lia Marie Johnson that I began to feel stupid. I knew a lot of youtubers, yet I had never met her in person. I had only seen a couple bits of her videos, up until that night when I sat watching them for hours. I felt like a creep, yet I knew that everyone cyberstalked their crushes now a days. I loved the way she laughed, crinkled her nose, her wide smile, warm eyes. I sat for a moment sitting on my bed staring out the window up at the sky. I thought of Skylar and how I loved her. I loved her long dark hair, her warm tan skin, her inviting eyes, her mystery. But most of all I loved how she had fallen into my life without knowing how I was and fell in love with me for me. My parents loved her, the gang loved her, she was perfect. So perfect she wasn't even here. I picked up the note of my night stand, rereading through the inked words. It had been two almost three months, perhaps she was never coming back. I grabbed the note and my board, running for the door, almost knocking Connor out on my way.
I skated down the street, the air was cool felt comforting on my warm skin. I was almost there when I glanced down, realizing I had grabbed Sky's board. My heart sank a little, I missed her so. I kept riding, stopping only when the only way up was to climb. I made my way up to the top of the cliff, staring out over LA, I was on top of the city, a spot I had only taken Skylar before. I plopped down on the ground, pulling the note out of my pocket, rereading it once more. It had almost been two long months without her here, though I missed her like crazy part of me felt as if I had to move on.
I took the note in two hands pulling, ripping it apart into tiny pieces. I gathered the pieces in my hand like confetti, throwing them over the cliff, watching as they danced in the wind. "Goodbye, Skylar. I love you but it's time to move on." I said outloud to myself. I felt tears burning my eyes, rubbing them to keep them in. I grabbed my phone from my pocket shooting a text to Connor, "Can you give me Lia's number? Thinking about a collab"
I grabbed the board and headed down the hill carefully, it wasn't until I reached the bottom that I felt my phone vibrate and sure enough it was the digits that would lead me to Lia. I shot her a quick text, not wanting to sound to eager, "Hey it's Jc" I looked up at the sky for a moment, I missed Skylar, I knew she too was probably looking up at the stars as well, I mouthed "sorry" hoping she would understand. I rode off into the night, heading home, my heart on fire with excitement as I waited for a respone from Lia.
