Jade began to panic, she started to look around her room trying to find her mother. She looked all over, in her closet, under the bed, everywhere the petite woman could have fit, and yet she didn't find her. She finally took a deep breath, Probably just all in my head. She thought this, until she heard a tapping at her window. She jerked her head around and saw her mother standing at the window! Jade hurried over and opened the window. Sticking her head out of the window she gave her mother a confused look, "Mom, it's three in the morning. Why are you up?"
Her mother just smiled, "Honey I'm fine. But don't open your door tomorrow unless you're completely sure Jason is gone. And if he isn't go out your window."
Jade just rubbed her eyes, "Mom you aren't making any sense. Is something wrong?" And once she opened her eyes, her mother had vanished.
Suddenly Jade was rudely awoken by her alarm clock! She jerked out of bed and realized it was noon! She began to panic until she realized something, it was Saturday, there were no classes for her to panic over. She laid back down and tried to fall back asleep, until she remembered the events of the night before. After several minutes of her thinking she decided to go ask her mom about last night.
Jade got changed into a red tank top with a black leather jacket over it, dark blue jeans, and a baseball cap with a cobra on it. She started walking to her door when she remembered what her mother said last night If Jason is still there, go through the window. Jade, not taking any chances, looked under her door, and sure enough she saw 2 feet covered in white socks, Jason for sure. She decided to go through the window and go straight to her car. She pulled on a spare pair of shoes she had in her closet, some blue vans, and grabbed her purse. She also grabbed Lydia just to be safe.
She had taught Lydia to jump through hoops before so the window was no trouble. The real problem was getting herself down without Jason realizing it. She took a deep breath and prepared for her descent.
First she tossed her pursed down, thankfully Lydia caught it before it could hit the ground and make any noise. Jade swung her left leg out first, then her right, trying to be as quiet as possible. She then was able to hop right out of the window without any difficulties. She then ran to her car and got in, with Lydia in the passenger seat. She got out of there quickly before Jason even knew what hit him.
When they finally got on the highway she looked at Lydia, "Well girl where to for breakfast?" Lydia then proceeded to give Jade a goofy grin. Jade just laughed to herself, "Ok Lyd's, Panera it is."
She then when to Panera and got her usual Saturday breakfast, a bowl of Chicken Tortellini with half of a baguette and a cookie. She also when to the Wal-mart across the store and got some dog food for Lydia. Then they proceeded to eat their food in her car in the parking lot of Wal-mart, like civilized people.
"Well Lyd's, now that we've eaten let's go back home. It's probably safe." Jade said as she tossed the bag, that held the container of half finished tortellini, in the backseat of her car. As she started driving she decided to try contacting her mother again. She picked up her phone and called her.
It rang three times then she picked up, "Jade? Are you Ok? I came to tell you breakfast was ready and neither you or Lydia were home."
Jade sat there confused, "Mom, you told me last night if Jason was at my door to go out the window. I just got some breakfast, Lydia's with me too."
"Honey, I never told you anything last night, what are you talking about?"
