Chapter 2 - Luke POV *edited*
"Annika, what are you doing here?" Wow that came out a lot ruder than intended. But I was extremely confused as to why she was at my house. I could swear that by the end of the phone call she hated me. I mean, I hated me for what I did.
Annika's eyes were staring studiously at the carpeted floor of my house, my unintentionally harsh words bowing her gaze in shame. "Luke, I-I came over to apologise about what I said," she started. "I realised what I said to you was really immature of me. I mean, you're my best friend, I should support your dreams. I always knew that you always took music more seriously than I did, I-I just hope that you can forgive me and-" Her voice was quavering with emotion, sounding like she was bordering on tears.
She had barely finished her apology before my arms were wrapped around her small frame, my face pressed into the top of her head, inhaling the familiar scent of her shampoo. "Stop rambling, Anni, of course I forgive you. There was nothing to forgive in the first place. If anyone should be apologising it should be me."
I could feel her relax in my arms, I buried my face into her sandy coloured hair. An interrupting cough from behind us reminded me of the fact that we had an audience to our display of affection. Anni stiffened and pulled away, confusion on her face. The cough had clearly jogged her memory about the strangers in my house.
"Who the hell are these people in your house, Luke?"
I chuckled slightly and reluctantly released my hold on her, "These, Annika, are my new band mates."
That was the only introduction given before Michael stepped around me -a difficult feat in the small hallway of my house- and introduced himself taking Anni's hand to shake it. Well, at least that's what I was expecting. Michael instead pulled her into a tight embrace, whispering something in her ear. I couldn't quite hear what he said to her. I reminded myself to ask him later.
Annika pulled away from Michael a laugh escaping her plump limps, and her cheeks darkening with a blush. Okay then...
Calum moved next to me and shuffled his feet awkwardly. He had been oddly quiet. Something was definitely fishy about this situation. Calum quietly spoke to Anni once she turned to him, an expectant look on her face. "Umm... I'm Calum... Sorry for you know...scaring you into thinking I was a burglar or something..."
Anni's response was just as awkward as Cal's, if not more. "Uhh, it's alright Calum, it's just I already...have a fear of the dark, and I thought you might be a creep or something and- I'm just going to shut up now..." From her expression I could tell that she felt as awkward and uncomfortable as she sounded.
Sparing her, I let out a breathy laugh and gave a shrug. "Well, now we have come to the understanding that we aren't all paedophiles, let's get some food!"

Calum POV
I couldn't help but stare at Anni. Luke told us she was pretty, but I damn, she was...breathtaking. Her captivating eyes were wide, a light sky blue ringed the line of green around her pupils. Dark eyelashes brushed her flushed cheeks when she looked down. Her lips were a perfect double crescent that balanced the small button nose. Light blonde hair tumbled in natural waves past her shoulders, her hands coming up to brush it away from her face every few seconds.
She was short, at least a foot shorter than me. Everyone was short to me, I was tall for my age. I wasn't only tall for me age, I was also incredibly inept and shy when it came to girls.
So of course, in my typical fashion, I had to be all awkward and embarrassed in front of her. Great, just great. Round of applause for the wonderful Calum Thomas Hood, everyone.
