Standing back up, clutching my forehead I look down to the person throwing stones at my window, and forehead.
Staring at me, he lifts his hand, holding my phone. He was standing in the pouring rain, below my window to give me my phone?
“Calum?”
Anni POV
"Anni." he replied, he was constantly having to flick his dripping hair out of his eyes. I smiled at his constant movements.
“Calum, how did you know where I live?”
He laughs and shakes his head, flicking water everywhere.
“I turn up at you house at-“ he checked his watch "-11:47 at night in the pouring rain to bring you your phone and all you have to say is, 'how do you know where I live'." He let out a short laugh that had a bitter edge to it.
I join him, but even my loud laughter was drowned out by the rain, I am not even sure how I heard him speak from all the way down there...
It didn't seem fair to have him standing there in the torrential rain while I stayed high and dry, so with Calum watching in befuddlement I swing my leg over the edge of my window and begin to climb the lattice work beneath, forgetting the fact I only had a shirt and underwear on.
When Calum finally realises my plan he begins to protest yelling that I was mad and going to get hurt. Little did he know that I knew from experience, that this lattice could hold something-or someone- much heavier than me.
Waving him off I proceed to work my way down, my hair and clothes sometimes getting snagged on the bush that twined skywards. But a sudden gust of wind was to change my seemingly fault-proof plan.
The wind swirled around me, sending rain across the sky almost horizontally, stinging into my face. I reach up to wipe the moisture away from my eyes, when the entire lattice work is shaken and my other hand begins to struggle holding me up.
I let out a small scream, and Calum shouts my name before I feel myself begin to fall off the side of my house. I brace myself from the impact that was certainly going to hurt, as it was easily a twelve foot drop.
I only have time to register the unnatural sensation of falling before I hit something. Only it's not the ground. Peeling open my eyes I see the terrified but clearly triumphant ones of Calum Hood, the boy who practically saved my life.
His arms are encircled around me and his arms are tense around me, I can't help but feel...safe.
I let out a shudder and bury my face as he continues to hold me bridal style. The rain continues to fall heavily, the wind dies away; almost like it's done it's job of almost killing someone. Mother Nature is such an a-hole.
I don't even realise that I am sobbing until I feel Calum shushing me and setting my upright. The shivers and sobs that wrack my petite form make me cold and I can only imagine how cold it is for Calum.
"Why aren't you wearing pants?" His voice whispers rather huskily in my ear. Shit, I had forgotten the fact that I lacked a certain article of clothing. Despite the freezing cold, I felt my cheeks warm and I struggled to stammer out an answer.
“Uhh-um…I-well…”
Calum barking laugh vibrated through his chest, into me. I blushed a deeper scarlet when he said,
"Don't worry, I didn't mind. Especially as you were climbing down the lattice."
As I go to lean back and smack him, his arms hold me tighter in his vice-like grip. His voice whispers lowly in my ear,
