"Luke?"
I stared at him and said just two words,
"Your dead."
Then I ran at him.
Luke POV
I charged at him with all my speed and smashed into the very confused and surprised Ashton. I put all my body weight onto him, my legs over his torso, pinning him down. I lifted my fist to crunch his nose but someone pulled me away from my position on top of the newest band member. The room was filled with shouting and Megan was screaming at me to stop.
As my body weight was ripped away from the boy I so desperately wanted to smash, he stumbled up from his position on the ground.
“What the hell, Luke?” he shouted, admittedly confused, “Why the fuck would you tackle me?”
With a snort and an attempt to get out of the strong grip encircling me, I spat back,
“Don’t fucking act like you don’t know what you’ve done, Ashton.”
I heard Calum’s voice behind me, identifying him as the person holding me back. I didn’t listen to what he was saying, but I was guessing it was something along the lines of ‘Chill out, Luke’. I finally reefed my body out of his arms and crossed my own over my chest, continuing to send death glares at the new drummer.
Ashton was still looking at me, his face portraying one of a confused puppy. I wanted to punch it. Deciding to give him a hint I pointed upstairs and bellowed,
“You and Annika! Upstairs! Sucking face!”
His face went a shade paler and his hand reached up to grab at the back of his neck, his other hand playing with the hem of his purple shirt. He attempted to reply but I cut him off abruptly.
“Luke, listen-“
“No- you listen, Ashton! You have hurt Annika in the past, and now you think you can waltz into my house and expect to get away with making out with my best friend.” My rage from earlier was beginning to make an appearance again.
I walk forwards and go to get up in his face, but he turns on his heel sharply and sprints upstairs
“No, you fucking don’t, Irwin!” I scream as loud as humanly possible, tearing after him. I pass my very confused mother in the kitchen, but I don’t slow down; all my attention to focused on wanting to hurt Ashton as much as possible.
Steps are pounding behind me, and as I expect Calum is leading the charge after me and the other boy. I burst through the front door, and I am almost amused to see Ashton pedalling away down the street on a pushbike, disregarding the fact that the sky is darkening with every second, due to the sun going down and the ever-pressing clouds on the predicted thunderstorm of this afternoon.
I hesitate only for a second before giving chase, my legs pumping hard; trying to keep up with the lanky boy on his bicycle. As I close the distance between the bike and me, I flick my head back to see only Michael and Megan chasing still. Surprisingly, Calum must have decided to stay behind, for some unknown reason.
I flick my head back around, just in time to see Ashton’s bike chain make an awful grinding sound and snap. He must have sensed his attempt of escape had just failed he braked and swung himself off the bike to face me, his face giving all indications of acceptance to the fact I was going to catch him.
I slow to a jog and allowed myself to catch my breath as I made my way down the pot-holed road. Mikey and Megan catch up behind me and I am not surprised to see Mikey’s face red and sweating, but I am also surprised to see that Megan looked barely out of breath. Seeing my expression she shrugged,
