Y/N shivered lightly as the wind blew across the field to the bleachers she was sitting on. Her Saint Laurent shearling bomber jacket wasn't paying off that much. Watching practice go on while sipping on her coffee made her think and she couldn't fathom how their football stars could go running back and forth the field, catching the ball and tackling each other to the ground, under this weather. She caught Tracy's eyes glancing at her and she flashed her a smile before she took off running again when the whistle blew.

It also surprised Y/N how Tracy and AJ could catch up with the guys when they're only five girls in the team and the other three have been playing since they got to Walnut Hills. Just then, Y/N caught a figure approaching from her peripheral view and thought it was only her admirer until she heard Lauren's voice.

"Hey."

"I thought you were a fan," Y/N said, her infamous smirk surfacing. "And I'm correct."

She looked up to see Lauren's unimpressed expression and she chuckled before reaching for her hand, which the green-eyed girl subtly deprived her of. Nevertheless, Y/N noticed it and cleared her throat, putting her hand in the pocket of her jacket instead, rejected.

"What's up?" The billionaire asked, examining the field for a moment before looking back at Lauren. "Oh, yeah. I—um—I'm sorry for leaving like that earlier."

Finally, the apology that Lauren wanted to hear, but it was the explanation she needed.

She put on a brave smile as she shoved her hands in her hoodie. "I have so many conclusions in my mind."

Y/N didn't look shocked but she wasn't happy about it either. She knew Lauren would worry. "You thought I only came for sex?"

Lauren's cheeks heated up again as she gave her a barely noticeable nod, averting her gaze to dodge those deep set of silvery blue orbs. Y/N couldn't help but smile. She took another sip from her coffee before pulling Lauren's hand from the confinement of her hoodie with her free one, reaching for the other one to let her cup of coffee sit between the green-eyed girl's hand to warm her up even just a bit.

Lauren blushed as she stared down at Y/N's hand still holding hers, adding to the heat that she soon felt inside her. It wasn't just her body that warmed up. Lauren was sure that her heart too due to Y/N's thoughtfulness. Too much for making assumptions. Y/N wouldn't do that to her.

"I would've went to Adriana's or Megan's if I wanted sex," Y/N said and she instantly felt Lauren pulling her hand away but she held it in place. "But I don't have their numbers anymore and it's not like I would want another meaningless sex with girls who don't even care for me. It's not that you're bad in bed either but rather you're not the kind of girl to mess around with."

Y/N was half aware of what she was saying and as much as she loved saying those statements to Lauren, she was already forming a commitment and she wasn't sure how the green-eyed girl would take it. A few steps away, Blake and Camila watched the two, the brunette biting her lip from the cold. Camila was still not sure on how she'd feel about Y/N and Lauren the more she gets educated with the pasts of large families in the business industry.

Camila suspected the reason why Lauren's unaware of everything about her life is because her parents kept her from knowing the truth. It's true that happiness can't be bought but there are thousand more things money can truly bring satisfaction. Lauren's parents possibly paid professionals to hide the life she's entitled to and although that could keep her out of danger, it was better if she knew more so she could help herself. She's not a baby anymore. She could stand up for herself and Camila believed that but at the same time, she could see Lauren's happy with Y/N and she couldn't bring herself to be the one to take that away from her best friend.
