Lauren sat silently beside Y/N as the latter was taking a nap on her bed. None of them thought that things would turn out the way they did tonight but both were silently thankful that it did. It was a pleasant surprise but that also meant that they didn't have plans after Lauren's confession. Y/N opted for a dinner but the green-eyed girl didn't feel like going anywhere there is people—aside from Y/N—so the billionaire thought it would be better to just take her back to her house and keep her from being alone for the night. They produced dinner out of a drive-through and ate them at home before Y/N felt like passing out so they headed upstairs to Lauren's room. The Cuban had been staring at Y/N like a creep for approximately fifteen minutes now as if she couldn't believe that the girl lying beside her was real. Hell, she couldn't believe any of this was real.

No one asked anybody to be their girlfriend but Lauren felt more secured with her relationship with Y/N now. Finally, she could be with her without holding back, without having to second guess anything, and doubt Y/N's feelings for her.

Lauren didn't know what took over her to confess to Y/N like that but she thought it was triggered when she saw her and Megan making out before the game started. When she saw them like that, Lauren felt as if an invisible hand magically made its way inside her body and was clenching her heart. She knew at that moment that she didn't want to live another day while Y/N's lips were pressed on somebody else who wasn't her. As obsessive as it sounded, Lauren couldn't help it.

Lauren squeezed the billionaire's hand in hers to make sure she was real and this was all happening now. She smiled to herself as she took a sigh in relief. Y/N didn't say anything earlier when she took Lauren's hand but she already knew why she did it before closing her eyes and the green-eyed girl has yet to let go of it.

She frowned when she saw the bruises and scars on Y/N's fists, dark marks dotting each bone like a spilled ink on a paper. Lauren carefully ran her finger across the scars, a pain kicking inside her when she thought of how Y/N must have gotten it. It was obvious that it came from punching something too hard for her to bear, tearing the skin open and the repeated motion causing to cut deep in her flesh. The green-eyed girl winced internally, leaning down to press a gentle kiss on her fist.

"Thrift store fashion, imperfect tattoos," Lauren sang softly, drawing circles on the back of Y/N's hand with her thumb. "Taking showers minus shampoo. You are my favorite everything, been telling girls that since I was 16. Shut up I love you, you're my best friend."

Lauren didn't want to make Y/N as her rebound or anything but she had been there to help her with everything. She even mentioned it once that she'd make the moving on process even if it was only jokingly. The Cuban was falling for Y/N and she knew it and whatever happens from now on, she surely won't regret it because she'll try to make every decision for Y/N's feelings. She's done so much for her and making her happy was the least she could do for her.

"Underwear I kinda care, wanna look good for you," Lauren continued, giggling when Y/N scrunched her face up in her sleep. "British bomb, you turn me on no matter what ya do. You are my favorite everything, been telling you that since 2015. Shut up I love you, you're my best friend."
