"Jamie, can't it wait?" Y/N groaned into her phone, hesitantly looking at Lauren, who was patiently waiting for her by her car.

They were still in the school's parking lot, on their way to Marlon's working place when Jamie decided to call her, telling her to collect a set of clothes she's going to use for another photoshoot this weekend.

"I can tell Julia to go get it," Y/N proposed.

"It isn't Julia who's going to wear those. I had it fixed. You need to see if it fits you because if not, it's either we get it adjusted again or I'll go get new ones."

"Of course it's going to fit. You know every measurement of my body, don't you?"

"Oh, yes, honey, I do, but that's the new shop I was telling you about. It's going to be different."

"What about tomorrow?"

"If it doesn't fit, it'll take days to do it again. It has to be ready by Friday."

Y/N clicked her tongue. "Can't you have someone get it instead? I'm kind of in a hurry right now. I'll go to your office after for fitting."

Jamie grumbled inaudibly on the line, causing Y/N to chuckle, knowing that she already won. "Fine, okay, fine. If I don't love you enough, I'm already firing myself as your manager. You always get things your way."

"Oh, I do. And you can't fire yourself. Only Dad and I can do that."

"If Warren wasn't as handsome as he was, I would've said no by the time I met you."

"Thanks for the compliment, Jay, but I'm really in a hurry," Y/N said, running back to her car and motioning for Lauren to get in. "I'll see you later."

She hung up and dropped her phone on the console, starting the car as Lauren waited for her to speak.

"I asked her to have someone get it for me instead but that means missing another night of tutoring session because I need to go to her office for the fitting," Y/N explained, listening to the GPS that was leading them to Teixeira Treads. "Sorry."

"No, it's okay," Lauren said as if she was reassuring herself more than Y/N. "But tests are coming up and you need to take this seriously."

"I know. There's just a lot going on. Trust me, I'd rather study Physics than deal with any of this."

Lauren smiled sadly at the girl, seeing how much of balancing she needs to keep her life in a normal state. She thought being rich was the same as being careless. She didn't think it also meant a lot of responsibilities and commitments to attend to, not to mention the current drama going on caused by the people who wanted to tear her down.

"So, Marlon," Y/N opened the topic when she felt Lauren intently observing her. "How are we going to do this?"

"We'll go talk to him like you did with Camila."

"I mean, how do we get him admit to it?"

Lauren shrugged, not thinking that it would be rocket science. "How did you get Camila to confess?"

"I talked to her, but Marlon is a different case," Y/N told her. "If he's being paid or forced by Rick, he would probably try to escape from us."
