Since the revelation of Lauren's identity at the Homecoming dance, Y/N's mind was restless. There's something telling her that she should do something for Lauren—aside from annoying her 24/7—and the first thing she thought about was to get rid of Rick. When they were younger, Y/N was already protective of Lauren because she's the only girl that found it hard to believe in magic when all the kids in their age did and what would Y/N do if the girl who's keeping her interest is gone? So, Y/N did everything she could to protect Lauren even if the green-eyed girl didn't give her credit for it. Well, that's because Lauren didn't know anything.
                              ----
"Hurry. Someone will see us," Mark ordered as his friends were tying the knot on the leg of the chairs in the aisle.
"Little Lauren's going to cry so hard," Tim, one of Mark's friends, said as he snickered, standing up and looking around the still empty classroom.
It was supposed to be break time and all of the kids were outside, eating their lunch or playing around, except for these three—and Y/N who have been watching the bullies operate their plan. Their plan for Little Lauren since she was the smallest in their class.
"It's already tied up. Let's go." The last kid, Jerry, stood up and patted Mark's shoulder before making their way towards the door.
However, they were stopped by another kid before they could even step out of the room. Y/N stood tall and proud and although she was a little smaller than them, her eyes caused the three to step back.
Tim was the first to react, scoffing as he stood in front of Y/N with his hands on his hips. "Get out of the way, weirdo."
"You're a weirdo—bullying people who didn't do anything to you," Y/N responded coolly. "Go back and take the line off."
"Who are you anyway? You're just a different kid from our class because you're a girl who acts like a boy and you're not even a boy," Tim shot back, making Y/N clench her fists. "What did mommy call people like you? Lesbians?"
"That isn't your problem and I'm not a lesbian," Y/N said through gritted teeth. "Now, cut the line down or I'll cut your fingers."
                              "Go ahead and try, freak."
And that was all Y/N needed. Besides, the kids will be back from outside in a few minutes. Y/N forcefully pushed Tim forward, making him land on his butt and cry until Jerry lunged forward. Y/N stumbled backwards and hit her back on the doorframe but she was quick to recover and grabbed Jerry's collar before kneeing where it hurt the most. A doubled forward Jerry was tossed aside and Y/N met Mark's cowering eyes, his legs visibly shaking.
                              "P-please, don't h-hurt me," Mark begged, backing away from a furious Y/N.
"Take the line off," Y/N growled, fists balled up and her eyes narrowed ferociously. "And if any of you tell anyone about this, I'll tell them what you're trying to do."
"Okay, okay." Mark fell to his knees and crawled towards the aisle where they were supposed to trip Lauren, biting on the line to break it and looking back up at a satisfied Y/N. "Please, don't hurt me."
And as if on cue, the bell rang and Lauren was the first one to run inside the room. She was always giddier after having her stomach stored with lunch and Y/N pretended nothing happened, giving Lauren a small smile.
"What happened here?" Lauren asked, stepping away from a crying Tim and Jerry who was curled up in a human ball.
"Y/N tried to—" Tim almost blurted out but Mark cut him off.
