Daniel's P.O.V:

Ren's room is huge!

It's like 6 times the size of mine.

But that's to be expected. Both her parents are making over 7 figures a week. A master singer and professional photographer...

Someday I would love to get a place like this. Actually, scrap that, I would LOVE to just settle down in one place! No more moving from town to town just because your father loves to play the hero!

RENÉE: "Hey, you didn't have trouble finding the room right? Sorry I raced ahead."

DANIEL: "It's fine, I had no trouble at all."

RENÉE: "...Are you sure about that?"

DANIEL: "I-I'm very sure. Besides that, what's on your mind?"

RENÉE: "Well, you seem quite unhappy as of late. I don't know why but I know something that can cheer you up!"

DANIEL: "Eh? Unhappy? Me?"

RENÉE: "Yeah, you looked all grumpy at the café, and I hate to see my friends like that."

DANIEL: "I'm fine, really."

RENÉE: "Well, you're sure going to be fine after I show you... THIS!"

DANIEL: "It's just a map."

RENÉE: "Not just any map! I snuck into Dad's study the other day, trying to get some spare paper, but I found this wedged inside one of his many pads."

DANIEL: "I don't think it's recent. It looks pretty yellow to me, I think they've had this for a long time."

RENÉE: "I'm sure that this leads to some hidden secret about my family. Something they've been hiding from me. I'm so curious to find out what it is!"

DANIEL: "I'm not too sure if this is a good idea."

RENÉE: "Why?"

DANIEL: "Well... Maybe some things are better off being unknown. Like, what if they're hiding it from you for a reason?"

RENÉE: "I'm not some little kid anymore. I have to find out some time, and knowing how stubborn they are, I will not wait until I'm sixty to hear it!"

DANIEL: *Sigh* "And they're the stubborn ones?"

RENÉE: "Hm? Did you say something?"

DANIEL: "Nothing... Just that it looks like the map leads to the outskirts of town. We can't get there by foot."

RENÉE: "Of course not! I'm not the type of girl who wants to tread on dirt for miles, we're going by car!"

DANIEL: "I don't think your butler will be willing to take you this time..."

RENÉE: "No, I'm going to ask Jordan to drive us there."

DANIEL: "Oh, of course... Jordan..."

RENÉE: "Yeah, did you see him? He's such a great guy."

DANIEL: "I know, I know. He's such a sweetheart..."

RENÉE: "Exactly! He's as heartfelt as he is hunky!"

DANIEL: "Ugh..."

RENÉE: "We should do this tonight! It'll only be a matter of time before they find out the map is missing. I can't let this opportunity go to waste, will you help me, Dani?"

DANIEL: "I'd love to, but... Have you seen the news? Teens are going missing, then resurfacing several days later completely stoic! They're even enforcing mandatory curfews..."

RENÉE: "Nah, don't worry. There's like, over a thousand teens for them to choose from. We'll be fine! And don't worry about some curfew, I'm not allowed outside after dark, anyway.
So, we're just going to have to sneak out."

DANIEL: "Sneak out?!"

RENÉE: "Shhhhh, not so loud. They might hear you. But listen, this is an opportunity to take matters into our own hands. Something that my parents are hiding could finally fall into my hands.
And then, when you need help finding out one of your father's secrets, let me know."

DANIEL: "You've got a point Renée, I'm in."

RENÉE: "Amazing! *HUG* I knew I could count on you!"

DANIEL: "Y-Yeah, you can always count on me Ren!"

I've got a bad feeling about this...
