Iris's POV:
Me and Cyrus were walking through the park. The snow was still fresh, and fluffy. No one else was here with us. It was just me and Cyrus.

"So," I asked, "What do you want to do?"

Cyrus shrugged. "Whatever you want to do."

I couldn't help but smile. "It doesn't matter what we do. You look cute when we do anything."

"Anything? Do you remember the Merry Go Round incident?"

"Oh yeah, that's right. Besides that, you're still adorable."

I couldn't hold it in anymore. I pulled him towards me and kissed him. It didn't even last for one second, and it felt so magical. That is, until I realized he pulled back.

"What's going on?" He asked me. I was so embarrassed.

"I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me. I-I understand if you don't want to do that. It's perfectly fine."

But, he wasn't even paying attention to me. He was looking in the distance at another couple sitting on a distant bench. It was Andi and Jonah.

My heart sank, because I knew what was going on. "I... also understand if you don't want to date me anymore."

Cyrus looked back, frowning. "I'm really sorry, Iris. I like you. I really do. Just... not in that way."

"I always kind of knew. Your eyes always seemed sad when you looked at those two together. I'm not good at giving dating advice, so I'm not sure if you should tell Andi that you like her."

His frown got bigger. "It's not Andi."

I was confused for a second, but then I looked at the two again and the realization struck me. "You-you don't like girls like that at all... do you?"

He slowly shook his head.

"That means, you like..?"

I didn't even need to finish. He had already nodded a few times. It broke my heart to say it, but it was the best thing I could do for him.

"I guess that means we should break up."

"What?" He seemed shock at what I said. "I can't do that to you."

"I know. You're so nice. That's one of the reasons I like you. Those two may be dating, but if you have even the tiniest chance at getting Jonah, I can't be in the way of that."

"You wouldn't be anyways. He's straight. He doesn't like guys."

I had to tell him the truth. "He does."

"What?" Cyrus was surprised at what I said.

"I was one of the few people he told. Not even Amber knows this. Jonah is bi. You have a chance with him, even if he's with Andi."

"Still, he wouldn't like me. I'm a loser."

"You are not. You're an amazing person. You just need to find that confidence in you."

With that, I walked away. I was crying on the inside, but it was for the best. You know what they say, though. If you love someone, let 'em go.
