This is so painful! Lava rising through my body, burning me in flames. I can't even hear the sobs of those closest to me. I'm too busy screaming in pain as I burn. I can't reach anywhere. I can't call for help. I'm simply just burning into ash, helplessly melting alive in the volcano.

Cyrus's POV:
Let's see. My next class is Physical Science. I wander around the school campus, trying to find Room 39. After what feels like an hour of walking, I finally find the classroom.
I enter the door and ask the teacher, "Excuse me. Are you Ms..." I look at my schedule. "Ms. Pearl?"
"Yes, I am. You're here for Physical Science, right?"
I nod my head, and she gestures towards the desks. "Sit wherever you want."
The classroom is full of random people I don't know. I find an empty seat in the back, and sit down. A few people sit next to me, and I keep my head low. To me, eye contact is the start of social interaction, and I'm not comfortable with anyone here just yet. "Gee, Cyrus. Thought you'd at least say 'hi' to me."
I quickly look up and I make a sigh of relief. It was Tyson! "Oh, thank goodness! I'm not alone in this class."
Tyson makes a cute smile. "Yep. I'm glad that you're here, Cyrus. You're kind of my only friend, so it's nice to know that the one friend I have is in a class with me."
I stayed quiet, but smiled. How was I supposed to respond to something like that? The way he said that was just really... sweet.
Ms. Pearl started speaking. "Alright, class. Welcome to Physical Science. I'm not giving you homework tonight, but I do want to do a lab today so that you can get to know your lab partners for the year. I'll call out your names, and give you your assigned partners."
The room stayed silent as she said our names. "Steven and Connie. Lena and Amelie. Jack and Gabriel."
After a few other names, I started dozing off. Well, that is until I heard her say, "Cyrus and Tyson."
Both of us looked at each other, ecstatic. We high-fived, rather loudly, since everyone in the class looked back at us. "Sorry." I said nervously.
Ms. Pearl laughed. "It's fine. Anyways, this lab is something very simple. I will be giving each group magnetic powder, and a magnet. Your objective is to figure out if the powder is a north or south field. Now, this lab is mostly so that you and your partner get to know each other. Hopefully, this lab will give you a chance to bond!"
The entire room was devoid of sound. Ms. Pearl made a forced smile. "Cause the attraction between magnets are... never mind. I'll start passing around the supplies now."

Tyson's POV:
We managed to conclude that the powder had a south magnetic field. We turned in our lab sheets and waited until the bell rang. Finally, lunch time.
Cyrus asked me, "Did you want to sit with us today? This is your chance to make a friend other than me."
"Maybe another day." I told him. "My sister wanted me to sit with her today."
"That's alright." He gave me a hug before walking away. "I'll see you later."
I waved and turned away quickly. Oh, god. My face was bright red. Sooner or later, he's going to find out how I feel about him, but I can't just tell him either. He's dating Jonah. I won't interfere with that.
I continue walking when my sister almost tackles me. "Tyson! Who's that boy you were talking to?!"
"He was no one important, Taylor. Just my science partner."
She looked at me in disbelief. "Suuure. I saw the way you looked at him. You like him, don't you?"
I almost went as red as a baboon's butt. "N-no. No I don't."
"Fine. You don't have to tell me yet. But I can tell he likes you. How he hugged you before he left."
"It was probably just a friendly hug. Plus, he has a boyfriend already."
"Aww, man. You two could've really hit it off."
I chuckled. "Stop teasing me."
Taylor put her arm around me. "Fine. Now, let's get some lunch, bro. I'm starving."
