Cyrus's POV:
Central Park. Probably one of the most peaceful places in New York. Kids playing on the playground. Ducks swimming in the pond.

Tyson and I sat on the bench. "So, tell me about yourself." I told Tyson.

"I'm on the soccer team. But at the same time, I really enjoy acting. So I'm probably going to join drama club next year in high school."

"That's pretty cool. Any specific plays you want to try audition for?"

"Romeo and Juliet. I know it's cheesy, but I've always wanted to be Romeo."

I started to smile. "Doesn't sound cheesy to me. I'm sure a lot of people would love that role. Especially since there's a kissing scene at the end."

"Well, first of all, it's not an actual kiss. Second of all, I'm not really into that kiss scene. It's a little weird."

"It's perfectly fine. A lot of people find kissing weird."

"Yeah..." He didn't seem as cheery as he was earlier.

"Ya know, I'm actually in the theatre business as well."

He looks up suddenly. "You are?"

"Of course! I have this great business called 'Tater Theatre'." Tyson started laughing. I guess my joke really did cheer him up.

"So, what kind of plays have you made?" Tyson asked.

"Nothing too big. I've made 'Fault In Our Taters' and 'Tater Towns'."

"You should show it to me sometime. I'd love to see it."

"Maybe. But I'd probably eat all of the taters with Jonah halfway through Act 1."

"Oh, yeah! I completely forgot that you were dating Jonah Beck. How are things going between you two?"

"We're doing great. A few bumps, but nothing has ruined us yet."

"You're probably so lucky. Jonah's like the coolest kid. Everyone got so jealous when they found out you two were dating. I know I was."

"Wait, you were? Does that mean..."

He stopped me mid-sentence. "Yeah. I'm gay. Like you."

"And you had a crush on Jonah?"

"No, I didn't. But seeing you date someone who was super cool and chill, made me a little jealous, cause I wanted someone like that."

We both heard screaming in the distance. A really big butler was running from 4 kids. "Bertram!" One of them said. "Stop! We just want a bit of your food!"

"That was weird." Tyson said. A voice said softly, "Tyson? Who's this?"

We both looked back. A nice lady stood in front of us. "Oh, hi mom!" Tyson said. "This is Cyrus. I bumped into him and we just started talking after that."

"That's great. It's very nice to meet you, Cyrus." I shook her hand. "Nice to meet you too."

"Tyson. Our flight's about to leave soon. And you still haven't finished packing yet. I'm glad you made a new friend, but we have to go."

"It's fine, mom." Tyson turned to me. "See you at school, Cyrus."

"Yep." I replied. "See you then."

The two started walking away, and I decided to head back to the apartment as well.

I turned back to see Tyson one last time, and I noticed that he was looking back as well.

I turned back and kept walking. "Cyrus! Over here!" I spun around and saw Riley and Maya jogging towards me. "See, Maya? I told you! That was Cyrus."

"Alright, peaches. Don't gotta rub it in my face." Maya said, jokingly.

"Fine. I'll do it in my head." Riley went silent for a few seconds and started smiling uncontrollably.

I walked over to the pond and saw Andi walking with another girl. "Hey! Andi!"

She looked in my direction, and wove. Then she and the girl ran over to us. "Who's your friend, Andi?" I asked.

Andi gestured her hands, like a hand model presenting a new product. "This is Harley Diaz. She's an inventor and is getting an award for that skill. The same award I'm getting."

"Wow! That's really cool. Congrats." Maya said.

"Let's go to the bakery! We get free food over there." Riley suggested.

"Really?" Harley said. "How is that possible?"

"Because our parents run the restaurant." Maya said. "Come on. We'll lead the way."
