Andi's POV:
I rang the doorbell. Nobody picked up. Should I ring it again? Nah. That might make me seem impatient.
Jonah opened the door, and Cyrus walked out. "Thanks again for helping." Jonah said.
Cyrus smiled. "No problem. See you later."
Okay... I need to know what happened. "So, what was Cyrus doing here?" I asked.
"Oh. He was just helping me set up for dinner. Said that conversation is important, so I made cards with topics that we could talk about."
He handed me a few cards, but I gave them back. "It's fine. We can just talk about whatever comes into our minds."
"Ok, then." He opened the door fully, so I could walk in. "Welcome to my house."
The place was incredible. Everything was much cleaner. The rooms were bigger, and it didn't seem like family drama happened too often.
"See?" A man and a woman walked into the room. Jonah's parents, probably. "I told you Hannah. Jonah wasn't lying. Andi is real."
I whispered to Jonah, "They thought I was made up?"
Jonah nodded. "Well, seeing is believing."
Jonah's dad held out his hand for me to shake. "So, you're Andi. It's nice to finally meet you. My name is Joseph. My wife, Hannah, was also dying to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too." I said. "Jonah says you guys were so supportive when he came out."
"Yeah." Mrs. Beck told me. "It's nice to know that Jonah also has friends who support him as well."
Jonah interrupted our conversation. "So, what's for dinner, mom?"
"Burgers and fries."
Both Jonah and I smiled, screaming, "YES!"
"Nice to know you're excited for that. Come on then. Let's go eat." Mr. Beck said. "You two aren't the only ones who love burgers."
The two of them went to the kitchen to set the table, and I said to Jonah, "At least now, you won't have to worry about your parents asking if you're dating someone you bring over."
"True. But they'll still ask that if I bring someone over."
I didn't know what else to say, so I just laughed.
We all sat down at the table and it was dead silent. Jonah was teasing me by holding up the conversation cards on his hands.
I took a deep breath and finally gave in. "Alright. Fine." I took a card and read it. "Hobbies. That's a good one. Who wants to go first?"
Jonah's parents looked at each other. "You're the guest. We want to know more about you." Mr. Beck said.
"Okay." Wow. I was actually getting nervous. "Um, I like arts and crafts. I like to make stuff out of old materials."
Mrs. Beck said, "That sounds amazing. Do you have any on you? We'd love to see some."
I rolled up my sleeve. "Yeah. This one was made from a straw and a shoelace."
"That looks incredible. You know what? We should use the cards. These are great conversation starters."
So we continued using it. I learned so much about them. They found out a lot about me. It was great.

Jonah was showing me out. "I had a great night. Thanks for coming over."
"It was no problem. I loved it tonight. We should do this again."
"Yeah. If you want to."
Bex drove up on her motorcycle. "Time for me to go. I kissed Jonah on the cheek and walked over to Bex.
"So, how was the dinner?" Bex asked.
I replied, "It went great. We had a lot of fun."
"That's awesome. Next time, invite me over."
"Will do." I said, and we both started laughing.
