Buffy's POV:
Halloween. My favorite time of the year. Andi likes it for the candy. Cyrus likes it since he loves making costumes, so it's sad he's not here to see it. But I love this holiday for one thing. Scaring.
And this year, I'm going to make sure that I scare everyone I know. Starting with my dearest Marty.
I sneak up behind Marty, who is wearing a Star Wars Jedi robe. I put on my IT clown mask, and shout, "RAWR!"
No reaction. I try again. Once again, nothing. I tap on his shoulder and he falls to the ground. Soon after, his head rolls away.
"AHHH OH MY GOSH!!!" I feel something grab from the behind and I scream again. In the blink of an eye, I spin around and swing at whatever grabbed me.
"Oww!" My eyes widened when I realized I hit Marty.
"Oh my gosh! Marty, I'm so sorry!"
He chuckled. "It's fine."
"No it's not. Now I have to keep scaring you until you actually die."
His face was filled with fear. I laughed. "There it is. I'm counting that as scary."
Marty looked at his watch. "Oh. I gotta go now. My sister transferred today and I promised to show her around."
"Alright. See you later." I slip the mask back on and find my next scare victim.

Bex's POV:
I ring the doorbell, and my dad answers the door. "Bex, Bowie. What a nice surprise. Come on in!"
He leads us to the kitchen where my mom was making lunch. "Hey, you two! So nice you could come. Why are you here?"
I chuckle at her sarcastic response, then I look at Bowie who smiles brightly. I hold out my hand for my parents to see. "Surprise! We're getting married."
Mom almost faints, but Dad catches her. "Wow!" He says, "This is amazing! This isn't a trick, is it? It's a treat?"
"It's 100% a treat." Bowie said.
Mom's words were all jumbled. "Wha-he-you-him-mary-weding?"
"Yes, Mom. I'm getting married to him."
"But, what about the whole asking for her father's permission thing?"
Dad laughed. "I did that a while ago. Must've forgotten about it."
Mom walked into the other room and came back with a huge binder. "I made this for when either you or Andi got married."
"Tha-that's a lot of pages."
"Well, it's only about 50 words each page."
"How many pages are there?"
"250." That number almost makes me lose my balance.
"250? Mom, I know I had A's in English, but this is a lot."
"Don't worry! We have time before the wedding. When did you plan it for?"
"We don't have a date set."
"That's perfect! We plan out the wedding first. Then find a date and venue." She plops the binder into my hands. "Chop chop. Let's get planning."

Cyrus's POV:
I place myself in the back of the class, while Jonah takes his math test. I notice that he's struggling with one of the problems, and I shout, "The answer is 15!"
To my surprise, he writes down "15" as the answer. I kind of realized that he can't see me, but at some points in time, he can kind of hear me talking.
I look at my wrist again. More petals on the flower have turned red. But what does it mean? I'm going to find out soon enough.
I just stare at the ceiling for a few minutes, when a distinct sound catches my attention. Everyone else hears it too, and fear strikes my heart. Gunshots.
