8x02 - Alone For Awhile

Bex's POV:
"Mom!" Andi shouted from her room. "Can I invite Buffy, Jonah and Marty over?"

"I guess so. But no parties. We still haven't fully fixed up the apartment yet."

"Got it."

Bowie walked into the room. "Hey, Bowie?" I asked. "Does this dress look nice?"

He stared at me for a while. "The blue
dress really highlights your eyes. But, I think it would look better... with this." He took out a bright red corsage, and put it around my wrist. "What do you think?"

I couldn't keep myself from smiling. "This is beautiful. Thank you!"

"For a beautiful woman like you? Anytime."

He walked out to get ready, and I stared at the corsage and continued to smile. "What a gentleman." I whispered to myself.

Cyrus's POV:
With all my power, I couldn't take the flower off. It was bound to my arm. But, what's it for? Why do I even have this thing on me?

"Whatever." I said. "I'm sure I'll find out sooner or later."

I stepped outside of the hospital, and walked down the crowded streets. Usually, I say hi to a lot of people, but this time, it's no use. No one here can see me.

Jonah's sitting alone in the Spoon. Maybe I should go be with him. In spirit, of course.

I proceed to enter the Spoon. No one even looks to see why the door suddenly opened. I guess they can't see that either.

Sliding next to Jonah, I get a close look at his expression. Kind of emotionless. No sign of happiness, or depression. Just... blank.

I wonder though... Can I still eat those taters? I reach for a baby Tater and pop it in my mouth. Thank Yahweh that I can still eat these delicious taters!

Jonah doesn't seem to notice. I just wish I could somehow give him a sign that I was here with him.

My boyfriend looks at his watch. "It's 5. I should head over to Andi's now." he says.

He walks out of the restaurant, and I stay with him. If I can't do anything, the least I can do is see what's happening.

Jonah's POV:
I ring the doorbell to Andi's house. Bex answers the door. "Hey, Jonah." She turns around. "Andi! Jonah's here!"

Andi comes up to me. "Hey, Jonah. Come on in."

She takes me to her room, where Buffy and Marty are snuggled up. "Guess I'm the last one here?"

"Hehe. Kind of." Buffy says.

Bex and Bowie poke their heads in. "Alright, we're going on our date now. There's food and drinks in the kitchen. Don't use two appliances at once. And no destruction should be done here. Other than that, have fun."

The couple walks out as we wave bye to them. "What do you want to do first?" I ask.

Everyone shrugs. "Okay..." I look around, and notice a board game on the floor. "How about we play this? Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons: The Simple Version."

Andi looked a bit embarrassed. "Oh, that? That's a role playing game. I've played it with Cyrus a couple of times. It's actually really fun, and I like it cause you can be creative."

Buffy looked intrigued. "Is there backstabbing and competition?"

"Lots of it."

"I'm in. You guys joining?"

Both of us nodded. Marty said, "We have nothing else to do anyways."

Cyrus's POV:
I watched them as they played, and I smiled as they did. Just seeing them in a more positive attitude was enough to make my mood better.

Still, though. It sucks that I can't play with them. This is like, my all time favorite game!

When I get out of this coma thing, we are all going to play this game together.

3rd Person POV:
Kip fearfully walked in the dimly lit room. A man's voice spoke. "So, I thought I told you not to get anyone else involved when you killed that Tyson kid."

"I'm sorry, sir! I promise you, it will not happen again!"

"You're right. It won't." The man took out a gun and pointed it at Kip.

BANG!!!

The teen fell to the ground. Bullet hole passed completely through his skull.

The man sighed. "Great. Now I gotta clean this blood up."

He crossed off the name, Tyson Vermont off his list. "I made a mistake trusting that careless teen to do my dirty work. It's better if I just do this myself."
