7x01 - Blossoming

Jonah's POV:
Tyson and Cyrus have been dating for only a few days, and it's already killing me. Hand holding, kisses, longing stares. I promised Cyrus that I would support him no matter what he chose to do. But it's harder than it looks. Especially when the thing he's doing affects you personally.

I can't be mad at either of them, though. I can see why Cyrus likes Tyson. He's funny, smart, and kind. Like me, but 10x better.

This is just human life, I guess. Being jealous is a normal thing. But I can't react too negatively. Cyrus knows I'm hurting from this, and he tries not to make it feel like it's being rubbed in my face. That doesn't mean that he doesn't do those romantic things with Tyson. Just that they don't do that kind of stuff around me.

"Jonah? Jonah?! JONAH!" I quickly snapped back to reality. "There you are. Since you're dozing off, how about you solve the problem up here?"

I walked up to the board. Ms. Toriel handed me the pen(this is one of those electronic boards by the way). I took a step forward and proceeded to complete the problem. "Very good, Jonah. Now, if you doze off again, I'll give you a harder problem."

I nodded. "Got it." I sat back down just as the bell rang. Ms. Toriel spoke sweetly. "Alright, class. We'll continue on this tomorrow."

I proceeded to walk out of the classroom, when I noticed Cyrus and Tyson walking through the halls. Cyrus saw me and waved hello, as well as Tyson. I waved back and started to speed walk away.

Tyson's POV:
Jonah started to walk briskly away, and I said to Cyrus, "Are you sure we should be dating? I still feel guilty for just coming in and stealing you from Jonah."

"It's not your fault, Tyson. It's mine." Cyrus replied reassuringly. "I should go talk to him about this, but please. I want to try us out. I still want to date you."

I kissed him on the cheek. "I understand. I just don't want to be causing problems between you and Jonah. If it's ruining your friendship, I'll step down. But we can still be friends with benefits."

Cyrus's eyes widened. "Do you know what that term means, Tyson?"

I shook my head. "Not really. But it just sounds like friends who like each other."

"Sure. You can word it like that." Cyrus kissed my cheek and walked away.

I started strolling in the other direction. Cyrus probably isn't going to solve this problem. The only way is for Jonah to talk to the person causing all this drama. Me. Next time I see him, I should go talk to him about this. Maybe we'll come to terms about something. But for now...

I took out my phone, and searched up Friends with Benefits for the actual meaning. I regret doing that...
