Cyrus's POV:
I stared at my mom in disbelief. "What..?"

She looked at me with sad eyes. "Cyrus, I'm so sorry."

I sat down. She did too. "When do you find out about this?"

"Just this morning, a few minutes after you left. I got a call and my boss told me everything."

"When are we moving? Where are we moving?"

"We leave in a couple of weeks. As for where we move, we're going to New York."

I looked at in shock. "New York? As in overcrowded New York? As in people being rude to you, New York?"

"Cyrus. That's just a stereotype... I think. Look, if it makes you feel better, I have an old college friend who lives there. Her daughter has a friend group that you will get along with great."

"Well, it's very diverse in race, intelligence, physicality. With you, it can be diverse in sexuality. Oh, they also had a love triangle that lasted for quite a while."

"How long?" I asked.

She replied, "I think about a year. But you have that to talk about, since you had that as well."

"Whaaaat? Nooo."

"Cyrus, accept it. We all knew it was a triangle."

I sighed. "How am I going to tell everyone?"

"I don't know. But we're having a going away party a few days before we leave. This... is it, Cyrus. This is going to be our new life."

This is all happening so fast. Cyrus is moving. Jonah and I actually might make up. Since when did our lives get hit with this many life altering blows?
