.Chloe's point of view.

I walk across the boulevard to get to the beach. It is very busy, but that makes sense since it is still summer holidays. I am on holiday here myself, with my parents and brother and sister. My father cannot wait to go back home. Atlanta is his hometown and the place where my brother, sister and I were born. Being here in Los Angeles is my first time actually. We've been to different places, but never to a place at the beach. My father travels a lot for his work, so I don't get to see him very much. Los Angeles has always been the city for me. The beach, the sun, surfers, the sea... just everything. If I could stay here, I will immediately. Today it is a sunny day and who doesn't love the beach on a sunny day? Everybody, right? When I reach the beach and feel the soft sand between my toes, I see a lot of volleyball players. I always wanted to learn how to play volleyball, but I never had enough time for that. I'm applying at Barden University and join an acapella team there, so it's only singing and no sports. I walk to the small bar, which is located on the beach and buy a small smoothie. With this heat, you have to drink enough, otherwise you will dry out and what's better than a fresh drink? The girl behind the bar smiles at me and I friendly smiles back to her. I take my small backpack and want to sit down on one of the bar chairs, but don't come nearby because one of the volleyball girls crushes into me. My smoothie is spilled over my whole shirt, while I fall into the sand. Goddamn! This was a new shirt!

,,Hey!" I yell frustrated. ,,Can't you open your eyes?" I ask angrily, while I try to clean my clothes.

,,You are walking into our pitch, so you have to open your eyes girl." She replied. I look down to my feet and see that she's right. I'm standing in front of the volleyball net. Wait, how did I end up here?

,,Oh... oh." I begin to stutter.

,,And?" She continued. ,,Did you wanted to grab the ball?" A smile appears on her face. Wow! This is the first time I study her whole body. She's very pretty, actually. Okay, maybe even hot. Her green-blue eyes glare at me and she has the most beautiful smile I've ever seen before.

,,What?" I ask.

,,I asked if you wanted to grab the ball." She repeated.

,,Oh... well, no." I answer and my cheeks get a little red. ,,Actually, I wanted to sit down on one of the bar chairs, but... I think I missed them." What am I doing?! Why do I even talk to her?

,,Oh of course, but as you can see, you're still standing in the middle of our pitch. So if you don't mind, could you step aside please?" The girl asks friendly. I look at the other players, but they only give me death glares.

,,Oh, sorry." I take a step aside. ,,I think you want to play on, good luck." I want to say goodbye, but I realize that I don't even know her name and that she has spilled my drink over me. ,,But actually." I keep on and she turns around once again to face me. ,,You have to buy me another shirt. I can't walk on with this," I point to my shirt. ,,it's dirty, thanks to you." The girl smiles.

,,Let's keep on talking after I finished the game, which you interrupted."

,,Hm okay, I'm right on -"

,,On one of the bar chairs, you already said that and now move your little butt out of our pitch, thank you." I walk away and finally sit down on one of these awesome chairs. I might not have a drink anymore, but at this moment I don't really care. I focus my eyes on the girl, who crushed into me and smile. She catches the ball in the air and is really good at this game. Her body is just perfect and it's fascinating how her hands throw the ball in the air. I'm lost in my thoughts, that I don't realize that the game finished after her throw and that she's standing right in front of me. ,,Hey." She says.
