Chapter twenty-one

Chapter twenty-one:

Sighing, I looked around the blank hospital room. They finally took off the bandages around my eyes but it was still a bit blurry. I got a new nurse for today, her name is Jodie.

"Hello." The blonde female smiles brightly at me, the light hitting her skin ever so lightly. Her pale pink skin glimmers. "Just a checkup and we're done here."

A large needle was then taken out of a package. I gulped, staring at the needle as she wiped the spot where my lower arm connects at the elbow. "This won't hurt a bit." She smiled at me reassuringly.

But she lied. It hurt like something just bit off my arm. I winced as I watched her pull the needle out slowly, the transparent liquid being pushed into my blood stream. I could feel it slither in, the cold trailing from my arm, to my fingers and up my neck.

I shivered excessively. Jodie left with the cart and needle. She told me she forgot the bandages. I watched as the blood flows slowly out of the open hole in my arm, the blood a little pink from the liquid.

She came back into the room with bandages and a wipe. "Ok, just have to wipe it with this and we'll be done!" Jodie carefully wiped away the small amount of blood and bandaged the spot on my arm.

She smiled before leaving me alone. I sighed and sat my head back on the pillow. Closing my eyes, I let my mind wander to the conversation I heard the doctors discussing.

-"Have they caught the Litch yet?"

"No but how can they if Gumball has the antidote."

"Well I heard he wasn't even working on it. I also heard he was distracted, possibly a lover?."

"Wait I thought Fiona and him were getting married?"

"No he broke it off. Probably the past love came back or something happened between the two."

"Yeah but he needs to get his life back together or the council will be forced to resign him of his duty as prince."

"Agreed."-

"Why hello Gumball. I'm doctor Lois." the tall male smiled kindly, his white teeth glinting in the light. His hair was a bright orange with pale green skin. "It seems the wound has healed over the two weeks you spent here, so I'm glad to say you're going home today. You must be bored with this hospital just as I am." He chuckled, turning his attention to the heart monitor, clicking it off.

Lois had taken all the needles that were in my body that were providing me with nutrients. "Ok all done here. We had one of your maids grab some clothes of yours so you can change. If you want a shower, it's right over there." he pointed to the corner where the tv was and right next to it was the bathroom. I've never noticed it there.

Doctor Lois left me to myself and I sighed grabbing my clothes. I head into the bathroom, locking the door behind me. I looked in the mirror, seeing my greasy pink hair in a knotted mess on top of my head my usual bright pink skin was a paler shade almost white.

Taking my shirt off, I examined the bandage on my stomach. Just barely peeking out was the stitches. I carefully dressed out of my boxers trying not to cause pain in my stomach. Turing the water on, I quickly stepped under the water.

I sighed as the water slid down my back easing the tension in the mucles. I can't wait to get out of here.
