The queen explains her story for the first time.Warning: exceptionally long chapter.
|Flashback|
Mirai watched from her perch on a tree branch observing the human once again as he had seemed to be doing nothing but going in circles. Adorned in simple samurai like attire, leading her to believe he must've came from the village housing majority of the sureiyazu clan not to far off.
She wasn't surprised their king had sent men after her. He had always been psychotically obsessed with the dragons that lived there. Once in his prime, the king tried to march into the mountains in hopes of enslaving her dragon kin, only to be cursed by the dragon goddess and anyone else on the kings hunt.
Despite the fact, he had been sent to kill her she had undoubtedly become curious of the young man. In the time, she had observed him, she had known he had quite a hot temper; to the point it was amusing watching him kick trees in anger to only clutch his injured foot a second later.
"At this rate, you'll never find me." She swings her legs lightly with a sly smirk as the human passes the branch she was perched for the umpteenth time. It was pointless to keep going as she had made sure to put a genjutsu surrounding the entirety of the sky scraping-mountains which concealed Doragon.
"Show yourself !" The boy orders automatically pulling a sword from his hip, making the dragonness chuckle softly at the humans eagerness for battle. He almost seemed like he craved for something to happen.
Shiro sureiyazu was an impatient male. A boy who never liked staying in the same place for to long and craved the dangers of adventure. So you can imagine his excitement when the village elders from the castle held an event. Word had spread across the lands about the mythed Queen dragon who aided the sage of the 6 paths himself in the war. The dragon was said to take refuge high in the mountains bordering cloud country. The event that was held was a contest of sorts. Since the deceased king had no heir, the title would be handed to the man who slayed the renowned dragon, whom was responsible for his death. Of course, many men like him went on the same journey but unlike Shiro he didn't do it for the title and solely for the adventure. He wanted to see if the stories he's been told since birth about the dragon and the sage were true. However, his ambition was dwindling. It was as if he had been walking in circles and he'd yet to encounter a big scaley creature with wings let alone any of the other men who set off for the same journey. He's brought out of his thoughts though at the melodic voice came from above him. Seeing a figure hidden by the greenery of the trees, he unsheathes his sword in alert his brows furrowing at the chuckle in response.
Mirai appears behind the boy, her golden clock eyes flashing before reverting back to her usual pupils.
"You are a strange human, the other hunters have already given up, yet you stay."
The boy whips around pointing his katana at source of the sudden voice behind him but freezes at the sight of the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. His eyes examine the folded angelic wings sticking from the woman's back making him drop his sword in pure awe.
"W-woah are you an angel!?"
