Stef

I stared at the picture of when Callie and Brandon were babies. I can't believe I let Callie go that easy and I know I should of fought Mike about this harder. It is all my fault. "Stef?" Lena's voice took me out of thoughts and I looked at her. "Will you be okay?" She questioned as she got her jacket on.

"I will be." I whispered as I tried to smile to reassure her. "I promise I will call or text if I think I can't cope by myself. You and the kids should go to school or you will be late." Lena looked down then looked up.

"Things will look brighter soon and have some breakfast." Lena said in a soft voice and I smiled a little.

"I know." I placed the photo frame on the bedside table and Lena smiled at me.

"I will call you at lunch." I nodded and she waved good bye then walked out of the room after she told me she loved me.

Callie

It really sucks that I still have to go to Anchor Beach when all I want to do is avoid the Fosters. Rita dropped me off at the front gates. "Keep out of trouble." I looked at her with raised eyebrows and she shook her head. "You been alright, kid. You are on my good side, you don't need to be on my bad side."

"God." I muttered as I got my bag and hopped out of the car.

"So far, you are favorite." Rita said before I slammed the door as I rolled my eyes. I heard her giggle then I made my way to my first class but I had to bump into one of the Fosters.

"Callie!" Lena had a smile on her face.

Lena." I whispered looking away as I played with the straps on my bag nervously.

"You can come to me if you need anything-"

"Look, Lena. Thank you but I don't need you or that fuc-"

"Hold up." Lena interrupted kindly. " Come." She took my arm gently and guided me to her office. "You don't know anything like why your mother and father gave you up. Shouldn't you just give Stef a chance to explain?"

"She had all my life to do it." I responded coldly as I folded my arms against my chest. "She had ALL my life, so why in the hell should I give her the chance when she had many chances before."

"Because when that chance came, it was too late. You were getting adopted when you were five."

"Yeah well, some bastard murdered both of them." I fought back the tears that were trying to escape from my tired eyes.

"And how was Stef meant to know that?" I shook my head as I looked away. "It wasn't her fault that no one told her what happened.."

"She should of never gave me up in the first place but she did." I responded as I walked to the door. "And I had to go through things that someone should never go through because she couldn't make it work with two kids." I slammed the door as soon as I heard Lena sigh and made my way to the beach then sat against the tree.

Stef

I decided to take a walk to Lena so I walked into the office and saw Lena with her head in her hands. "Babe." I whispered as I walked over to her and pulled her up.

"Don't. Please." Lena said as she got of my grip.

"What?" Why was Lena so upset?

"I saw Callie and-"

"Is Callie okay?" I asked as I stood up higher. "Oh my god, she is still going here?"

"Yeah, she is but she decided to skip school but I don't want to call the group home." I nodded understanding.

"I will go and look for her?" I asked and Lena nodded.

"I think you sh-" There was another knock at the door. It was the science teacher. "Uh, Hey Michael."

"Stef, Lena." He greeted softly as he shook hands with me.

"Is everything alright?" Lena asked and he shook his head.

"Brandon wasn't in class and someone saw him walk out into the beach." I sighed and Lena smiled a little.

"Well, I will call him and tell him to get his butt sorted out." Lena said joking. "I will get Mariana or Jesus to try to find him at lunch."

"I will." I offered softly. "I don't want Mariana or Jesus wasting their time trying to find Brandon." Lena sighed as she ran her fingers through her curly hair. "It's fine, we can talk later. It is important to find them." Lena nodded then I looked over at Michael. "Well, it was nice to see you again, bye." I walked out and headed through the busy corridors.

Callie

"Callie?" My fists automatically clutched in anger. "Callie, thank god." Brandon sat down and I sighed.

"What do you want?" I questioned angrily.

"I want to get to know my long lost twin sister that my selfish mother took away from me." I looked at him and saw how hurt he looked. I shouldn't be angry at him because really it wasn't his fault. I sighed as I unclutched my fists. "I can see that you wish you were somewhere else besides here." I looked down and saw him trying to get a look at my bruised, cut up face.

"Sorry." I murmbled as I stood up and he stood up.

"Callie, just wait." Brandon begged as he grabbed my arm gently. " I need you and I know you need me too." I shook my head as the tears formed into my eyes.

"I don't need you. I didn't need anyone before and I sure in hell don't now." I started to walk away but what Brandon said next made me stop and double think about what I was about to do.

"I care." Brandon said in a pleading tone. "I care a whole lot about you and I know you don't know how to trust people but I will show you how." I turned around and wiped my eyes quickly. "And I know you are scared." I looked at him then heard a noise so I ran as fast as I could away from my biological mother and brother.

"CALLIE. PLEASE. WAIT." She screamed but I ran really fast.

Stef

I watched the interaction then I felt an ant on my leg so I shook my leg but Callie heard and looked over then saw me. She then ran and I tried to catch up with her. "CALLIE. PLEASE. WAIT." I screamed but it was too late. She was far off and I needed to explain myself to Brandon who was staring at me with anger. Oh, if only looks could kill.
