Dotty sat on the Moonstone with Tom and Barry eating some food that they had for lunch. Dotty had some sandwiches and crisps just like the boys. She sat there tearing the sandwich apart so she could eat it due to her braces. The three had a blanket over them as the wind nipped at their skin.
Barry was texting his girlfriend Shona leaving Dotty to talk amongst themselves. They ended up having a match of rock, paper, scissors and also took a selfie, Barry joining in for that. Though, the mood damped when Dotty got a call from Anna. She excused herself and headed off down stairs on the boat.
"Hello." She greeted sitting down on a chair.
She heard Anna snort with shuffling noises in the background. "Hey..."she slurred.
"Are you drunk?" Dotty questioned. "Anna it's half one in the afternoon!"
Anna giggling and told someone to stop before talking to Dotty. "Dotty, I am not drunk. I am simply tipsy, Gregg and I thought we would indulge in some WKD."
"Gregg? Who the hell is Gregg?" She heard moans in the background and cringed. "Don't tell me you and this guy have hooked up?"
"Maybeeee..."
Dotty sighed, this wasn't the first time that Anna had cheated on a boyfriend. "What about Nathan?"
"He doesn't have to know." Anna whispered.
Dotty shook her head, "anyway what did you want?"
"Can you tell Nathan it's over."
"No. I am not an owl. You can do it yourself. I want no part in this." Dotty stated. She wasn't in the mood for an argument nor drama, especially when she wasn't in the country.
"Bitch."Anna spat and hung up. Dotty would have been very upset if it was four years ago, but she had become used to Anna treating her this way, it was normal in a friendship though? Wasn't it?
Tom came down stairs to chuck his rubbish in the bin and sat beside Dotty on the chair next to her. "You okay?" He asked, "you sounded pissed off."
Dotty nodded, "just my friend asking me to break up with her boyfriend for her as she is currently drunk and with another guy."
Tom stared at her in shock. "That's awful. Sorry, she's your friend. But still."
"I know it's not right that's why I told her no. I don't want to be part of it." Dotty stated, and ran her hand through her long blonde hair which had tangled due to the wind. "But enough about me, you okay?"
"I'm good. Barry'll be down in a minute, your dad is talking to him. Anyway, your mystery texter, has been creepy at all?" Tom questioned his arm moving so that it was over her shoulders. Dotty shook her head. "That's good then, but remember if he does you can tell me and I'll give him a piece of my mind. No one creeps my best friend out."
"Best friend?"
Tom nodded, "if you want to be?"
"Sure." She smiled and cuddled into him. "God, you're so warm." Tom chuckled holding her closer as Barry descended down the steps.
"We're hugging? Give me some love!" He cried and sat in top of Tom, wrapping his arms around the pair. "This is nice. It's really warm, unlike up there." He stated and he tugged in his coat pulling it tighter. The three stayed hugging for a few minutes before pulling away, Barry remaining on Tom's lap until he pushed him off.
Dotty chuckled and took photos of the boys messing around sending them to the group chat playfully begging to be saved. That was until Barry grasped her phone and Tom grabbed her by the waist hoisting her up into his shoulder and keeping her hanging there. She could hear the sound of the camera app as Barry took pictures, probably sending them to the WhatsApp group. Dotty snorted and tried tickling Tom's ribs so he would put her down but instead it backfired and he nearly dropped her but thankfully Barry caught her as Tom dropped to the floor. "That did not go to plan." Dotty stated and brushed herself down once Barry set her down and Tom stood up.
Tom grinned, "it didn't did it?"
A phone pinged and Barry smirked, "You've got a text, Dorothy." He teased waving it about. "From Fionn? Did you get his number?"
Dotty furrowed her brows then realised who he was talking about, "no that's not Fionn Whitehead that's a different Fionn." She stated and went to get her phone but he held it up. "You forget, I am taller than you."
"By a few inches!" Barry craned his neck to read the message. "He's asking what your favourite type of cake is. What the fuck?"
Dotty blushed and snatched her phone back quickly typing her reply (Victoria sponge), and slipping her phone into her zip-up pocket on her coat. "Don't judge. It's not nice."
"Newsflash I am not nice." Barry retorted.
Dotty guffawed, "please? You're like a lil' smol bean. All of you guys are. Smol- and I mean it when I say-smol- beans."
"What does that even mean?" Asked Tom as he stretched his arms, yawning slightly.
"Something That is small and adorable."
"Aw, Tom! She thinks we're adorable!" Barry grinned like a little child.
"But I also said you are small."
"Just because you are on the fucking cans of sweet corn, you fucking green giant, doesn't mean you can offend out height!" Tom smirked wrapping her into a head lock and messing her hair up even more. "You're only an inch taller than me!"
"That means you're a giant too, you twat!" Dotty exclaimed.
Barry stood confused, "but some of the others are taller than you."
"It's a bloody saying!"
