The next morning Chris and Emma were drinking their morning coffees wondering why Dotty was still in bed at 3pm. Yes she was out late but even so normally she would be up by now. Emma went to investigate and wake her daughter up for some "breakfast-lunch (sort of)" but found Dotty's bed empty and unslept in. Her next thought was to check the den, maybe she had gone in there for a bit and had fallen asleep. Nope. She was not their either.
Rushing back downstairs Emma shook her head at her husband, "She's not there."
"What do you mean she is not there?"
"Exactly what I just said, our daughter hasn't come home!" Emma exclaimed, panic mode setting in.
Chris placed his hands on her shoulders. "She was with Fionn, maybe she went back to his."
"With no text or call?"
"Em, she's an adult, as scary of a thought that is, she doesn't have to tell us everything. I'll call Fionn to check. Okay? Go sit down." He picked up his phone leaving the kitchen and sitting in the armchair in the living room ringing the boys' number.
After a few moments he picked up. "Hello?"
"hi Fionn, son, I'm just calling to double check that Dotty is with you." He said into the phone.
"Uh, no she isn't," said Fionn confused, the sound of voices in the background fading as he walked away from them.
Chris furrowed his brows, crossing his legs, "Is she on her way home then?"
"No? I haven't seen her in a few weeks, why? I'm at rehearsal for my play."
Chris' heart began to pound. Oh no. "So you and her didn't go on a date last night?"
"Nope. Is everything okay?"
Chris' knee began to bounce up and down, "she went out last night saying you two were going on a date. She's not come home."
Fionn cursed, "Shit. I'll try calling her, rehearsal has finished so I can look for her if I don't get hold of her. I'll keep you posted."
"Right, cheers, son. I'll do the same my end." The phone call ended and he rushed back into the kitchen to his wife. "Fionn hasn't seen her in a few weeks. He's going to try and get hold of her. I'm going out to look for her."
Emma gasped leaping up from her seat, "I'll come with you."
"No. You stay her in case she comes home."
"But-"
"Em, please, I have to go."

"Pick up, pick up, pick up," Fionn kept repeating as he rushed to his car, his phone pressed to his ear as he waited for Dotty to answer. He had signed out of rehearsal, saying quick goodbyes and exited the building but so far he had received no response. "Fuck!" He groaned.
Why would she lie?
It wasn't like her at all.
He shook his head in confusion sitting in his car and connecting his phone to the Bluetooth device in his phone and ringing Tom as he pulled out of the car park.
"Wha's up, r-kid?" Tom greeted cheerfully.
"Is Dotty with you?" Fionn asked him driving slower than the speed limit so that he could look for his girlfriend.
"No, why?" He questioned, "Everything okay?"
Fionn clenched his fist, "No, she lied to Chris and Emma last night saying we were going out together but we didn't. She hasn't gone home and she's not picking up her phone."
"That's not like her! What the hell?"
"Exactly, I'm out looking for her and trying to ring her but so far nothing. Chris and Emma are doing the same. If she turns up, let me know, yeah?"
"Why would she turn up 'ere?"
"I don't know, you're her best friend!"
Tom sighed, "Right, yeah, stupid me. I'll let you know for sure. I'll let the other lads know, see if they hear anything."
"Cheers, bro."
Tom ended the call and Fionn smacked the steering wheel. Oh Dotty, what have you got yourself into!
The boy drove around for hours and hadn't seen anything or heard anything from Chris and Emma. The only person he had heard from was Harry. He was about in London that day and would keep his eyes peeled for any sign of the girl. But, it was like a wild goose chase. Nobody knew where she was last night so they had no lead other than searching everywhere for her.
Hours had passed and still no sign of Dotty. This was not looking good. Not looking good at all.
All of the lads were ringing her and texting but not getting any response either. It was pure chaos. Both Fionn and Chris were trolling London, Harry was looking the best he could but struggling due to fans bombarding him. Tom was non-stop ringing her much like all of the other guys.
If something has happened to her they would never forgive themselves. What ever she was doing the night before clearly was something she doesn't normally do otherwise she wouldn't have had to lie. It increased the panic more.
Even Barry and Cillian in bloody Ireland were panicking! Dotty was not one to do anything like this. She's too innocent.
