What had happened between them was so thrilling, yet not in a bad way. The kind of thrilling you feel on a rollercoaster, where you are so scared but enjoy it so much that you want to go on it over and over again even though each time you feel so scared. It was like all of their feelings and emotions were being transferred to the other and they were officially becoming one. If someone was watching them they would so the amount of passion and emotion written on their faces, even though it was new for the girl, it all seemed to come naturally to her. It was as if Fionn and flicked a switch and all of the awkwardness between them faded away, leaving behind raw emotion, passion and purity.
Fionn and Dotty sat beside each other, their faces both red and their hearts racing. Dotty reached her hand down gingerly, her fingers brushing his as she delicately looped hers with his. Fionn brought the intertwined hands up and pressed soft kisses to her knuckles, his warm breath leaving goosebumps behind. He looked back up, his green eyes locking with Dotty's grey ones, and for a moment time stood still, their breathing hitched and it was as if the clock on the wall stopped ticking too, the noise stopping, leaving the pair just to sit still and watched the others' eyes.
Not a word was spoken between them.
It was a sweet silence.
Fionn broke the pause, his body shifting and their hands detaching as he turned onto his knees and crawled over her legs, each le either side of hers and his hand guided her body down so that she was laid down. She didn't object, she didn't move, she let Fionn do everything. He was hovering over her, staring deeply into his eyes; they hadn't left hers once. However, his hand left her waist and travelled to her cheek, the palm cupping it and his fingertips brushing her hair back.
"Did I tell you how beautiful I think you are?" He said quietly, his voice low and barely a whisper. Dotty's voice seemed to have disappeared, and her body was frozen in place. "Because I think you are so gorgeous. I think you are amazing too. I don't care if you aren't a stick, because you aren't fat, not at all, you're a perfect size, but even if you were fat, I'd not care. You have curves, which are beautiful, and don't get me started on spots. So what? I don't care. I think you're perfect." Each time he spoke a few words, his face edged closer, and now his lips were right beside her ear. "And to be perfectly honest, whatever you have done to make me fall so hard and far for you, want you to keep doing it."
Dotty reached up, her thumb tracing his cheekbones softly, a tender touch that Fionn wasn't even sure that she was actually doing it. She guided his face more central and looked lovingly at his lips. Hers brushed his and gently pressed against them, her eyes closing. It was only short but it felt beautiful.
"Fionn..." Dotty whispered, "I think you are wonderful and what we have is nothing I have ever experienced before and I don't know whether I should be feeling scared. I'm not scared of you. I think I'm simply scared that what we have will change and end. I don't want that. I want this to be forever. I know it's so soon but I love every minute with you. I love the fact you have seen past so much of me and I can't be more thankful."
Her eyes squeezed shut as tears threatened to spill, she didn't want to ruin the moment. What she didn't know is that whilst she had her eyes closed Fionn had let a tear slip, the small droplet was running slowly down his cheek stopping at his jaw where it sat just on his mole. It wasn't of sadness, it wasn't of happiness, it was of how much his emotions were running wild, how much the girl before him meant so much to him in such a short amount of time.
"We keep mentioning time, "He began, his voice wavering as it threatened to crack, they both had their eyes closed and at that moment the true purity and innocence of their relationship could be seen and no doubt felt by the two as they really spoke about their feelings. "It's as if everything is set out. Like we have to wait a certain amount of time before feeling things, or that everything has a date of expiry but we don't. I don't give a damn about time, it's just a saying. Time is just what we make it out to be. Let's forget time and live in the present."
"I think we should." Dotty nodded and a rogue tear fell. "Can you stay in here tonight?"
"If you want me to, only this time, you are having the bed." Fionn replied his forehead rsting on hers.
"No," Dotty said louder than the whisper they had been using. "We both can have it."
"Dotty I don't think it's really the ti-"
"-We're forgetting time remember."
Fionn nodded, "Right. As long as you are sure."
"I don't think I have ever been so sure in my life. Other than when I agree to be your girlfriend."
Fionn smiled, "I like the sound of that. I like you saying that. I want to hear you say that forever. I don't want to lose you, Dotty, I thought I was from how distant you have been this past week."
"You can't lose me, I won't allow it. You've just got me and I have just got you, Fionn. I wish we could stay like this for a while."
"And we can, I won't be going for a while. I can get my things later, for now, I'll stay."
Fionn rolled off of her and laid down, pulling her body closer, her head falling into his chest, and her hand resting over his heart. They still had their eyes closed, the only thing they needed was the feeling of each other and the sound of their breathing in sync.
