"I'm telling you, Dean, this is teal." You explained calmly to the man in front of you, looking over your laptop ever so slightly to make sure you were making eye contact. He frowned at your tone of voice, as in a way it seemed as though you knew more than him. Apparently, when it came to distinguishing color, you were.
"It's green-blue," Dean argued making you roll your eyes as you continued typing away on the computer, trying to get some work done that Bobby had requested of you. You knew if you argued with the man this would go on forever, yet for some reason, you being the stubborn person you were wanting to prove him wrong. You began googling teal, which was literally green-blue but it had a proper name that Dean refused to acknowledge.
"Hey Dean, what's this?" You asked while turning the laptop around so that he could see it. In the search bar, you googled teal and then set it to images. The exact color you were discussing was on display. Dean looked at it for a moment and clicked his tongue.
"Look up green blue now," Dean instructed you and you did just that and the same colors you were discussing popped up. The only difference was now they were a little more on the green side and therefore different from the image he was showing you.
"See, if anything you should call this blue-green since there's more blue in it. However, blue-green is literally just teal so if you want to simplify it any more than you can agree with me and the murder victim's eyes are indeed a teal color." You said, suppressing your cocky grin from him as you know it would just cause another argument. Apparently, he was in a bad mood or something, you could tell the moment he came into the motel room, and you weren't making it any better for him.
"Fine, they're teal. Next, you're probably going to tell me my eyes aren't green but are mint or something stupid like that." Dean explained and you let out a sharp laugh. Like his eyes could ever be considered mint. Minty eyes are more of a pastel with a slight hint of blue mixed in there somewhere.
"No Dean, you have fanfiction green eyes. No denying that." You explained to him and he looked at you as though you had grown a second head, which in all honesty you really hoped you hadn't. The last thing you needed was another you attached to yourself.
"Fanfiction green, what does that even mean?" Dean asked and you tried to think of the best way to explain what his eye color was like. After little internal debate, you finally got the best explanation.
"Well don't know if you ever read casual books," You began, getting a small and offended 'hey' from him before continuing, "but a lot of times in books and especially fanfictions when an eye color is being described it's always with overly fruity language. Like 'his eyes were as green as the fresh morning leaves of the pine tree' or something like that. Like described kind of weird but they really describe it as the most beautiful green color. You have those eyes. Like in real life. It's honestly amazing." You explained to him, kind of loathing how your eyes weren't nearly as beautiful as his. Sure, they were beautiful in their own way but they weren't fanfiction green beautiful.
"You think I have beautiful eyes?" Dean said with a bit of a mischievous grin, well you guess it was more of a flirty grin but to you it made him look like he was up to no good. You supposed they were basically the same thing.
"Does a Wendigo eat humans?" You asked him as you continued on looking up things on your laptop for Bobby, sighing a bit. You didn't just think his eyes were beautiful, you thought just about everything about the man was breathtaking. You couldn't very well say this to him though, as number one it might make things awkward and number two you didn't want to boost his already crazy ego anymore when it came to partners.
"Touche." Dean murmured while walking past you to go into the kitchen. You hated to see the man leave but you loved watching him go. You made sure to watch his backside as he disappeared through the door and was finally left to your research. Well, you thought you were.
As you were just finishing up for the day, Dean came back and you made note that Sam wasn't with him. You actually hadn't seen the taller Winchester all day, which was kind of odd. The brothers were normally stuck to one another's hips when they weren't arguing about something.
"Welcome back Dean, did you grab me anything to eat. I'm starving." You said as you looked at the time. Apparently, he had been gone for about three hours since your last conversation. What happened next wasn't something you expected him to do. A small necklace was dropped into your lap and you looked at it for a moment.
It wasn't anything fancy, it was on a leather chain and had a small teal stone hanging from it. You looked over at Dean curiously, wondering as to why he randomly gave you a teal necklace. It wasn't like him to get gifts that wasn't more rock salt.
"Care to elaborate as to why I was given this?" You asked Dean and Dean looked a bit awkward before he finally let out a heavy sigh.
"You were right. It's called teal. I got you that for your victory." Dean admitted and you blinked before remembering the conversation from beforehand and began chuckled. Your cheeks were tinted with a darker color as you continued your chucking before looking at Dean.
"Here I thought you were color blind or something. Thanks, Dean, mind helping me put it on?" You asked him, holding up the necklace in your hands and he decided he might as well. It was such an odd thing for him to get you something but a part of you was remembering how he had reacted to the compliment you had given him earlier. Had anyone complimented him on his eyes before? Or was it always a quick lay for the girls he slept with?
"Hey, Dean?" You asked and you got a small grunt from him as he began fiddling with the necklace. You lifted your hair out of the way and gave him easy access to your neck, "Do people ever compliment your eyes?" You asked him and you felt the cool leather and stone against your neck. You felt Dean pause for a moment before continuing.
"I don't think most people notice in bar lighting or with the lights off," Dean admitted and you rolled your eyes before smiling a bit. Once the necklace was on your stood up and turned to him with a smile.
"Well they really are amazing, they suit you." You said before standing on your toes and giving him a small peck on the cheek before parting. Dean seemed to be a bit at a loss for words, as most people weren't so openly affectionate. With one last smile, you decided to go out and grab something to eat while leaving the man to his own thoughts. Perhaps when you got back the two of you would be able to discuss things other than the color teal.

So doing a small writing prompt list in my free time (mostly whenever I feel like writing some one-shots for this for boredom purposes) that can be located here: https://www.deviantart.com/art/100-Theme-Meme-273379101 so ya these prompts aren't mine and I never follow these things properly I feel I just let them inspire me and make it up as I go. Like this one, I was writing and I was like "Does anyone he flirts with notice his other qualities or do they just notice he's hot because honestly he has so much going on both personality and physically and he needs more love." Hope you enjoyed this and toodles!
