Sprinklers (SamxReader)

“Come on Sam!” You pleaded with a small smile. “This is going to be a bad idea.” Sam huffed and you just sent him a lopsided smile. “No really, this makes absolutely no sense at all.” He said and you sighed. “It’ll be fun, please? For me?” You decided to pull the ‘for me’ line on him. It wasn’t too official but he liked you and you obviously liked him but due to certain things and your stubbornness, well you guys haven’t actually told each other yet.

“Why may I ask would you even think of doing that?” Sam just asked, although he looked like he was smiling a bit. “Because it’s there and like Dean ditched us so he’ll be pissed off but its what he gets for bailing on us so…please?” You decide to ask again and Sam just sighs with a smile.

“Fine, this is still a bad and stupid idea though.” He said while taking out his phone and placing it on the table along with his wallet and anything else he had in his pockets and you followed in suit. You stood at the edge of the field and looked at one another. “Hold my hand?” You ask while holding a hand out and you swore you saw a small blush and bashful smile on his face before he took you hand.

With that the two of you guys ran into the field that had various sprinklers going off all around. The field was rather large and bare, nobody was even around at the time since it was rather late and the moonlight illuminated the place. You guys ran through and you shivered as the water made contact with your skin and your clothes stuck to your skin.

It was fun though and you guys stopped in the middle of the field by a large oak tree. “This was idiotic.” Sam said while moving hair out of his face and you just laughed before getting on your tiptoes and getting a stray hair off of his face. “You missed a piece.” You said as another spray of water got to your back and you yipped while clinging to Sam’s drenched shirt.

“Hello to you to.” Sam said and you just laughed before looking at him with a straight face. “I’m done with being stubborn.” You started off and he looked at you confused and you smiled. “Sam, I freaking love you.” You said before reaching up and giving him a kiss on the lips. He froze in his spot for a moment and looked at you bewildered before smiling and snaking his arms around your waist.

He picked you up so you were above him now and looking down as he let out that wide smile you loved seeing on him. “It’s about time you said it, I love you to, Y/N.” He said and you felt a bit teary eyed as you let out a laugh and hugged him as tight as you could and you felt him kissing your forehead. “Now how about we get out of here, I think I see Dean.” Sam said and you looked across the yard and sure enough the Impala had just driven up.

“Shall we go?” You asked and he nodded. He grabbed onto your hand and you guys ran out of the sprinklers together while laughing. Needless to say Dean wasn’t too stocked about you guys being drenched, but to you guys it was all worth it.
