the next day felt dreadful right from the get-go.
my paranoia got the best of me last night, unable to stop thinking about that random boy on my porch.
it was just a boy, i kept telling myself - but was it really? "just a boy" sitting outside of my house at 1am on a school night? considering his head shape was way too wide for anyone that I knew, and his unrecognizable clothes, it just didn't make sense.
the result of my boggling mind was practically no sleep, and unlike jooheon, i didn't particularly run well on little rest. in fact, that was one of the things my friends hated me for. I still remember hyungwon's piercing look when I accidentally drooped my head onto hoseok's shoulder.
I walked into school with eyes fluttering every two seconds, and legs that barely wanted to move. I shoved my hands into my pant pockets, keeping my head low to use as minimal effort as possible.
I did end up bumping into a few people, walking through the hallways and down the stairs, but one replied with a small "sorry" in the deepest voice I'd ever heard.
I couldn't help but look up, only to find him already shuffling past me. I unconsciously stared at the back of his head, but he quickly turned the corner before my mind could process.

some call him a try hard, but he's just trying to live smart. he never saw the benefit of staying up late. why distract yourself from homework when you can do that after you've finished it?
