the silence was uncomfortable for both boys.
changkyun couldn't bear it anymore, even though that meant he had to reply to kihyun's question, and he surely couldn't lie.
"well," he began, swallowing, "my parents were offered a better life, and it was going to benefit to all three of us."
kihyun nodded, and it was nice to know he was listening.
"I never liked my school either. full of terrible people," changkyun added quietly.
kihyun tilted his head. "you couldn't transfer?"
changkyun pursed his lips. "couldn't afford it. no time for the papers. or money, for that matter."
it was strange, talking about low income in a fantastic house, in a rich neighborhood, to a handsome guy with pink hair. how'd he managed to get here? changkyun had no clue.
but kihyun turned his head, with eyes so fond it make changkyun's heart swell.
it was such a relief to see something besides pity.
"well, you're here now."
yeah. he really was. and it was crazy. he lost everything. he left it behind. he cried and punched walls. but at that moment, changkyun could say he didn't regret it.

.Im Changkyun, who may still not know what luck truly is, but was given a glimpse of chance.
chances that he had never been able to be so close to before.
