I saw hyungwon and hoseok at the park as I passed by it. they were sitting on the swings, thankfully not doing anything too lovey-dovey, so I approached them.

they saw me and waved. I sat on the third swing.

"kihyun, did you hear about sunmi? she got nominated for homecoming queen!" hoseok said in disbelief, though I wasn't sure why. sunmi was hands down one of the most prettiest and nicest girls in our school.

"she's going up against lisa and jisoo, though. it'll be a tough decision," hyungwon added.

"wasn't seulgi also nominated?" I added, recalling a similar conversation he had with another friend.

"damn, you're right. they nominated good people this year," hoseok said.

"okay, but the homecoming kings though? even better, to be honest," hyungwon said. "jungkook, jeonghan, rocky, frickin' jackson wang, oh my god."

"holy crap, dude."

"I know right. jungkook's probably going to win though."

hoseok looked at hyungwon. "are you kidding? jackson's got it in the bag."

"well, maybe, but jungkook is more likely to win because of his popularity," hyungwon reasoned.

"not true. jackson will probably be more appealing to the audience because of his humor. everyone loves his humor!"

"yeah, but everyone loves jungkook. and he has humor too. his is more subtle which adds onto the fact that he's hot."

"and you're saying jackson isn't?"

"and you're saying jungkook isn't funny?"

ah, lover's quarrel.

I was very tempted to cut in with the fact that jungkook and jackson were pretty equal, considering they actively hung out with each other and are popular relatively. very tempted.

homecoming kings and queens were truly something I thought we outrageous, despite my hidden want to be nominated, but I knew it would never happen. hyunwoo and even the boys I was sitting next to had a higher chance than a book head like me.

Shin Hoseok, and Chae Hyungwon, a couple that's difficult to understand.

like, really difficult.

they'll be sitting on each other's laps in a movie theater, probably kissing, then next thing you know they're arguing if chris evans or chris hemsworth is hotter than the other.
