repeated laugh

i blinked. "which portion are you referring to?"

he laughed the type of laugh that only seemed to be real in movies. the "that wasn't a joke but it was a really funny line so i'm going to laugh cooly" kind of laugh. i may or may not have repeated laugh so much that it lost meaning in my head.

"the friend group part."

"oh, well," i said, "i mean you just seem very easy to approach. even though the first time we made eye contact you looked like you wanted to kill me."

"ohhh, so that's why you ran away."

i held a hand to my chest.

"fast-walked, thank you very much."
