we walked, side-by-side, just like last time. I couldn't stop laughing at a ridiculous joke he made, and eventually, he was laughing too. I calmed, only to feel something small and solid hit my head. I looked down to find an acorn lying beside my foot.

sad and lonely, like me- kihyun, shut up, jesus christ.

I stopped in my tracks. "hyungwon, wonho, I swear to-"

I looked over the fence that separated the sidewalk and the playground, only to find the unexpected.

a tall boy stood cooley against the swings' pole, arms crossed and a lopsided smile on his face that didn't seem quite inviting to me. I furrowed my eyebrows in complete confusion, as did changkyun.

the boy's snapback hid his black hair, sitting atop his narrow head. his features were extra sharp and extra fine, wearing a look that nobody could compete with. a heavy looking bomber jacket and black jeans. it was the classic look at our high school, but he seemed to pull it off better.

I already knew who he was the moment I laid eyes on him. it was impossible to not know Justin Park, brother of the even more famous Jay Park.

"yoo kihyun, right?" he asked, as if it were his business.

somehow the biggest playboys and bad boys around, impressively still holding grades higher than D's.

in other words, be their friends, not their enemies.
