**Chapter 43**

We walked through the door to his house. We left our things on the floor right by the door, and Liam took me downstairs to his basement. I noticed a weight bench, a tredmill, and a punching bag as soon as we got downstairs. Liam walked over to the wall beside the punching bag and grabbed a pair of gloves that were hanging up on the wall.

Liam smiled as he walked over to me, "Alright, Julina. Time to let your anger out in a healthy, non-violent way." Liam said, handing me the gloves to put on. "I would suggest you wear those. I've learned my lesson the hard way. I've ended up with some pretty raw knuckles because I forgot to wear the gloves." Liam said with a chuckle.

I nodded and smiled, "That's probably the best idea." I said, agreeing with him. I pulled each of the gloves onto my hands one at a time.

Liam came over to me to help strap on both the gloves. Once he was done, and the gloves were on tight, Liam clapped his hands together, "Alright, Julina. Let loose on the bag!" he said excitedly.

I nodded and turned towards the bag. I first wanted to imagine Analeigh's face on the bag. I hit the bag as hard as I could. When my glove hit the bag for the first time, it felt amazing. I felt the stress and anger leave my body with each punch to the bag. And that was it; I was hooked. I punched the bag as hard as I could and as many times as I could, completely ignoring the world around me. I was in my own little world, and in that moment, I felt so free. Free of the drama with Analeigh and Harry, free of my fears, free of my past, free of everything that has ever hurt me.

I was so in the moment that I didn't even notice Brynn when she came downstairs, "Julina, love?" I heard Liam call, but I couldn't stop hitting the bag to acknowledge him. It felt too good.

"Julina?" I heard Liam call again, and this time I stopped punching the bag.

I looked over at him as I reached out to stop the bag from swinging, "Yes?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Brynn's here." he said, gesturing to Brynn who was standing right next to him.

I smiled and waved to her, "Hey Brynn!" I said as I walked over to them, trying to take the gloves off. Liam came over and unstrapped the gloves from my wrists, took them off my hand and threw them under his armpit to hold them. Brynn didn't really seem to smile or wave back. She just kind of eyed me the whole time. I think she might still be a little mad at me because of everything with Harry. I just brushed it off and didnt let it bother me.

Brynn turned back to Liam, "Uhm, mum wanted to know who was here and I just told her it was you and one of your friends."

Liam nodded, "Okay, well what did she say?" Liam asked.

Brynn shook her head  and shrugged her shoulders, "She said that's nice and wanted to know if they were staying for dinner so I said I would come down and ask," she said before turning to me, "Do you want to stay for dinner?" Brynn asked blankly.

Liam cut in before I could answer, "Don't answer that yet." he said and turned to Brynn, "Is Jeff here? And if so is he staying for dinner?" he asked. I furrowed my eyebrows, thinking to myself. I know that name, but I cant remember where I've heard it before.

Brynn shrugged, "Yes and yes I think." she said.

Liam shook his head, "Then no she's not staying for dinner."

I looked over at Liam, confused, "What? Why?!" I asked.

Liam looked at me, "Because I want to keep you away from him too. He's an asshole." he said.

I raised and eyebrow at him and laughed to myself, "Wow, just trying to keep me away from everyone aren't you?" I said with a small laugh. I was expecting Liam and Brynn to laugh with me, but as I looked from Liam to Brynn, I noticed neither of them were laughing. Not even a hint of a smile. I cleared my throat, "I'm sorry that was way too soon." I said looking down towards the floor.
