**Chapter 17**

Niall and I stayed up pretty late last night, talking about all the crazy things going on in life. The topic was mainly surrounded by Liam, Harry, and Zayn. When my eyes opened this morning, I knew it wasn't going to be easy to get out of bed. My head was currently underneath my pillow, trying to drown out the noise of my buzzing alarm clock. My hand found its way out of my covers, and hit the snooze button on my clock. I groaned loudly underneath my pillow, wishing for at least four to five more hours of sleep.

Trying to get myself to get out of bed was going to be really difficult, possibly the biggest challenge of the day. I pushed my pillow to the side and pulled my covers off of me. My whole body felt heavy as I sat up, swinging my legs over to the side of my bed. I stood up, tripping over my own two feet as I walked out into the hallway.

My eye lids fell shut as I slowly walked towards Niall's room. My hand fumbled at the door handle, trying to open it. I turned the knob and walked in, "Niall, wake up." I mumbled, opening my eyes slightly, but closing them again instantly. Niall had opened the curtains, letting some light in. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, and sighed deeply, "We really shouldn't have stayed up so late." I said, yawning.

When I opened my eyes again, Niall was standing in front of me buttoning up his shirt, "Julina, I think you need to wake up a little bit." he chuckled.

I nodded and closed my eyes again before stretching, "What time is it?" I asked.

"Uhm, it's 9:10 in the morning." he said, turning to check the clock behind him.

I nodded, "Wow , I actually did sleep and extra four hours today."

"Yeah." Niall said, placing an arm around my shoulders, "Here, why don't you go take a nice, warm shower. I'll go downstairs and make you some breakfast." he said. He turned me around so I was now facing the door, "And you should really get more excited. I mean, come on. You have a date tonight." he said, leading me towards the bathroom.

"I'll be more excited after I shower." I admitted. I walked into the bathroom, and leaned up against the door, facing Niall.

Niall chuckled, "Alright, I'll let you get to it. I'll be downstairs. Come down when you're ready." he said with a smile. I smiled back, and he walked down the hallway, disappearing down the staircase.

I shut the door, leaning lightly up against it. I took a deep breath and sighed. For the first time in a long time, I think I can say that I'm finally happy with how everything is turning out, and I mean that too. I don't have to wear a mask anymore because I have nothing to hide. I'm happy.

I pushed myself off the door and moved towards the shower. I pulled the shower curtain back, and turned the shower on, making sure the dial was all the way to hot. Water cascaded out of the shower head. I listened to the water as it hit the shower floor while I got undressed. I pulled my shirt over my head, throwing it in the laundry basket. I loosened the strings on my pajama pants, pulling them off me as well, tossing them into the basket. I stripped myself of my bra and panties, putting them in the laundry as well.

I reached my hand under the water, testing its temperature, making sure it was to my liking. When it was warm enough, I hopped in, letting the water run down my body. A trail of goose bumps covered my body as the warm water hit my cool skin.

Why is the shower the perfect place to think about all of your life's problems? Is it because your finally all alone with your thoughts? Is it because you're finally relaxed and can think clearly about all the possible solutions? Whatever the reason may be, I always figure everything out in the shower.
